Topic: Anime & Manga (NO SPOILERS PLEASE)

Toonami Saturday night! I wasn't expecting such a big impact, but the HD made everything so freakin' gorgeous (let down by the fact the channel was having issues. Every 2-5 minutes it would freeze/pixelate like some sort of bad internet connection).

Bleach - Ichigo is confronting "Zangetsu" to learn a new technique, and his friends (normal, powerless ones) just had the misfortune of running into the most powerful villain in the series.

Naruto - The fight is getting desperate, and it looks like their opponent has something far more nefarious in plan other than simply winning the competition.

One Piece - Totally wacky episode, as per usual (and that's a good thing).

Soul Eater - An episode dedicated to Excalibur rambling on about BS? Yes please!

IGPX - Didn't watch

Eureka 7 - Awesome episode! Finally, they pass through the magical gate, and what wonders could possibly await them? It's... Japan?

Also, they reviewed Metro: Last Night (8/10). That review felt really out of place, IMO. (indie games like Slender, Dust: an Elysian Tale, Journey, Unfinished Swan, and heavily stylized major titles like Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Borderlands 2, Ni No Kuni, Catherine, & Lollipop Chainsaw felt really natural being associated with the brand, but an ultra realistic shooter, like the game reviewed tonight, just doesn't feel like it belongs)

Last Light is relatively obscure for a Shooter, and IMO, deserves the attention.

Great to hear! I've been meaning to for a while now but the trailers always put me off because it looked exactly like the Digion movie. Not that that's a bad thing, but I don't want to watch a movie that's just gonna make me want to watch a childhood movie. Anyways, looking forward to it. Probably watching today or tomorrow.

I doubt you'll be able to go back to Digimon the Movie after Summer Wars.

Well,yeah Digimon The movie is my favorite anime movie of all time but this movie is great on its own but throughout the movie,only a few times did it remin me of the Digimon movie.

Well, can't wait till next week's Attack on Titan!

What ep you on?

So far I'm loving Evangelion. The character development is great. I know I might be singing a different tune by the end, but right now it's amazing.

Honestly, I've seen so many people complain about the characters being repulsive, and unrelatable. However, I find them completely relatable. Their flaws make them seem more relatable, in fact, more-so than several other anime I've watched. The reason folks might be uncomfortable with this is the fact that they, like all humans, are very flawed, and flawed characters can only highlight this in themselves.

I just saw Summer Wars! (the credits are rolling right now! XD) That was fantastic! Really fun movie. I love the art style and the fight scenes, albeit short, were fast and fluid. I love the tension built without physical confrontation, like the Hanadufda game! Haha that was awesome. Loved it.

@CrimsonFire13 Actually, only in parts like you said. The scenes where the villain pulls out the timer and random Internet people start helping were pulled straight out of the Digimon movie though.m:P

What's summer wars about?

Well, I'm starting to become addicted to Lucky Star.

That's not only normal. It's expected. Additional side effects may include, but are not limited to, extreme happiness, tough to only watch 1 episode, sudden desire to put :3 and x3 face everywhere, and enjoying slice of life more. If any or all of these stay around after the series ends, watch the OVA's. multiple times if necessary.
If side effects still persist, similar animes are K-on!

It's been a few days since I saw the first episode, but I've just been watching quite a few tonight... :3
