@Rocko52 Chobits is hilarious. It's a really cute comedy with some serious undertones. It's by CLAMP so I definitely recommend watching it. I've never seen the dub though so I don't know about its quality.
I just remembered I never finished Shikabani Hime AKA. ...that was years ago.
Ive seen the Manga of Chobits.
Those things are flipping THICK. It's like 5 manga books smashed into one :3.
I tried scanning through it, but it was too hard x3.

@Rocko52 - I'm only 7 episodes into it, but I'm liking Xam'd: Lost Memories quite a bit so far. It's GORGEOUS, first of all, and there seem to be a lot of similarities in character, story and tone to Eureka Seven (which isn't terribly surprising, given that both shows were produced by the same studio and apparently many of the same people), so if you like ES, you'll probably Xam'd too.
@Rocko52 - It's love/hate. By that I mean I loved the first half, hate the second half, and would rather have my face chewed off by a beaver than sit through End of Evangelion ever again. It's difficult to put it into words without spoiling anything, but I'll say this: It's no where near as deep and intelligent as it first appears.
I'm pretty sure most anime watchers, casual or otherwise, have seen either part or all of Neon Genesis Evangelion, since it's been one of the highest-profile anime series in the West for a very long time now (after DBZ, Bleach, Naruto/Shippuden and maybe Cowboy Bebop and Inu Yasha - that's just my impression, of course, but it's undeniably very high up in the "rankings", as far as visibility is concerned).
Honestly, I really despised Evangelion for the longest time, but while I still wouldn't say it's one of my favorite anime ever and my biggest issues with it - what feels like a false sense of both depth and self-importance, its increasingly frustrating & unlikable protagonist and the mostly superficial, ham-fisted religious parallels (which is really just an extension of the first thing, I suppose) - largely still held, I like it a lot more than I used to after re-watching it last December.
I've read so many positive things about the end of evangelion, including from IRL friends and the internet...I'll have to make judgments on my own once I'm done, but right now I'm loving it. Whenever I hear about people talking about something being overrated, I can't help but think of some-one disliking something popular just to be a hipster.

^No one said it was overrated. We said a lot of people know about. We said nothing about how well-liked it was. I've seen more Eva haters than fans, honestly. And the only good thing in End of Evangelion is the animation. Otherwise it's the biggest Troll in anime history. They even have a live-action shot of an empty theater near the end, completely at random and out of context, as if they honestly expect everyone to have left by now. And honestly, by then I really wanted to.
Whenever I hear about people talking about something being overrated, I can't help but think of some-one disliking something popular just to be a hipster.
Or maybe they had a good reason for disliking it.I dislike some things that are popular, not because i want to be a hipster but because i dont like it or have any interest with that particular thing.
I know, I didn't think that about those comments, I'm just saying that as a joke I think of "hipsters" whenever people criticize overrated and popular junk.
