Maybe. With me, I used to be a lot more sensitive to blood/gore in films/shows/games, and it worries me a bit that I've become desensitized to it. Sure it opens up a LOT of great experiences to watch/play that I couldn't stomach before, but it worries me nonetheless.
Anime watching: Mobile Suit Gundam, Lupin III, & Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable
Reading: The Golden Compass
I generally don't mind gore in anime as long as it's justified in the tone of the show. If the animators are clearly using gore for the sake of gore, however, I just don't see the point in watching anymore. Key examples are stuff like Elfen Lied and Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan - I felt physically ill when I watched a clip from the latter.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
Granted, I've only watched four episodes so far, but while the show is plenty bloody and death-filled, I wouldn't call what I've seen of Attack of Titan to be much more gory than a violent episode of, say, Fullmetal Alchemist or Brotherhood.
The implied violence in AoT is pretty horrifying, but the most gruesome events tend to either happen in the distance or just off-screen.

I don't think you should be worried as being desensitised to fictional violence does not mean the same applies to real life. Violence in video games, anime and films is rarely portrayed realistically. I've never seen an overly violent anime but most of the anime I've seen has had some bloody scenes and there has been some violent in some games I've played. Most of the games I've played with blood in don't have copious amounts of blood in but the No More Heroes series does and I'll admit that I've enjoyed slicing people up in those games, but that's because of how unrealistic it is.
I watch a web series called the Jimquisition presented by games journalist Jim Sterling; he had done two episodes on this topic and to prove that gamers aren't desensitised to violence, he showed a video clip of a politician committing suicide by shooting himself and I felt physically ill watching that and many of the other viewers had similar reactions.
How gorey is Attack on Titan? Also, idea it have a rating?
I never checked the rating but I can assume it is in the mature section, as for gore, there is blood and limbs getting ripped off, but it is nothing TOO serious (nothing to make you sick)
You'd be hard pressed to find anime which isn't 15+. Most shonen anime have enough blood to bump the rating past PG. The only exceptions would probably be some shojou series which are strictly romance.

Actually, there are plenty of kid's shows, but most are for really young viewers, so most people don't talk about them. At the very least, if Japan was going by our rating system, they'd have a severe divide between Y and PG/TV-14...
I honestly have no idea how the series is gonna re-write itself out of that situation.

I told my dad in a text message yesterday that I wanted the DVD box set of Bakuman for season 1 on my bday! Right now its currently unavailble last time I checked. There r somethings I watch like a hawk in Amazon I don't know why. Except for it must be pretty important too me if I'm going too waste my time starring at a picture.

Just found something on funimation that said you have to be at least 17 to watch Attack on Titan, since it's TV-MA guess it's not something for me then.
Gargantia is pretty cool 2 episodes in. It's kinda generic I guess but does some clever stuff to get past that and I have no idea where it's gonna go, which is cool.
I hope I end up liking it. As it's now the third long running series premiering on the block (the other two being Bleach & Naruto), it means we're probably going to be stuck with this lineup until Soul Eater ends next year (I guess they could add something new once Eureka 7 ends this year, but I don't think they'd take the chance of premiering a new show after the first two hours).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Well the new dubbed episode of bleach and new episode of attack on titan will be posted tomorrow online so I will be watching.
..............................
I checked on psn there a few days ago and you can buy all bleach episodes for $1.99 each, there is already 297 episodes dubbed so if you bought all episodes it will be $549.24 good thing you can watch for free online.
Between the violence, Yuno and the series' general cynicism, Mirai Nikki (The Future Diary) can be unsettling at times. I can't say that I find any of the characters in it to be especially likable so far (in fact, most of them are downright reprehensible), but despite that, I am starting to enjoy the character dynamics and the almost political (if often incredibly violent) way they're trying to maneuver around each other to survive, and win, the game.
