Imo, Naruto does take on some Dragon Ball Z-ish tendencies the further along you get into it. When Naruto establishes that he's pretty powerful, the fights get less strategic and more long winded, and there are more powering up sequences. It still takes itself more seriously than DBZ ever did though. The first season is generally agreed to be high quality, and then the argument starts over whether it gets worse over time or not.
One Piece definitely gets better over time though. I doubt you'd find as much to like by just watching the first season, but it'll grow on you once you get invested into the characters.
Hey! Thanx 4 being honest, I'll take ur recommendation. I must ask. If there are any of the following personality types in Naruto or Onepiece: Sarcastic, crazy or mischievious? Those are my top favorite personalities in any kind of media. I know this is not related to anime but it will help you better understand my question. Alright I'm a big fan of Stargate SG1 my favorite characters are Col. O'Neil because he's sarcastic, Vala because shes mischievious. In a show I always, always pick those characters as my favorites only. I rarely choose a character cuz shes hot. But if you can telk me those personality types are in Naruto or One Piece then I'll watch it.

God I need to watch more anime, but I'm not sure what. Not even Gundam is getting me enthusiastic right now. Saw two more episode of Victory Gundam, and while great, I have no urge to continue for some reason. It's weird.

That's definitely true, but also kinda common in Shounen from what I've seen. I still don't think the character Naruto is anything like Goku, though.

Yes I have and I like those! But I don't think I tried Yu Yu Hakosho yet but I heard its good!

theres actually a lot of anime that I like but havn't been devoted too. But I did follow through Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Drive. The main way I follow through most of the anime I like is with manga searcher on my kindlefire.

Pandora Hearts might count as it is counted as a mystery anime as well as a psychological thriller and I would highly recommend it, it's my second favourite anime. It has a deep and very intriguing plot with a great cast of likeable and well developed characters. Although, you won't get to see all of it with the anime as it is only 25 episodes and the manga is still going.

@Rocko52 I might watch it at some point as it does look like a very good anime but I already have a very long list of anime to watch so if I do, it probably won't be for a while.
