i was gonna watch a silly school comedy or the like for this season, but I couldn't decide which and none of them were getting consistently good reviews apparently. So instead, Gargantia. Seems fun so far. Didn't realize it already had 6 episodes.
If you're still considering a school comedy, I recommend SNAFU mostly because it's the "Everyone's Got Problems But Let's Pretend We Don't" show and it doesn't contain too many tropes.

Kinda sad to see it end, but I finished all 24 episodes of Lucky Star. And I also watched the OVA. Like I've said, the characters are very lovable and very realistic, (I especially liked Misao, because she's voiced by Henry Hugglemonster) I also liked the comedy! Overall, I can already imagine myself getting nostalgic about this show... next up is Sgt. Frog!
@Konata "Canaan" and "Strain: Strategic Armored Infantry" are two of my favorites.
Formerly MickeyTheGreat and MickMick. Now I'm Mickey again!
@Mickey Lucky star is one of those anime which makes me nostalgic about high school. Which is weird, because it hasn't been all that long since I left...
If you liked Lucky Star...
>If you liked the slow paced interaction and character development for the girls, go to K-on!
>If your favourite character was Anime Tenchou and you wished he was in every scene, go to Nichijou!
and speaking of that, I'm not entirely sure how I'm supposed to feel when a comedy series drops an incredibly sad/serious segment. Like one of the later episodes of Lucky Star, some scenes in Nichijou and some of the episodes of Squid Girl. It just makes me feel strange to feel sad with a bunch of characters who usually make me laugh.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

Honored to be quoted, but I just noticed my own spelling error, I said quite instead of quite. -_-
@Konata
I know this was a while back when we mentioned Squid Girl, but is the dub any good? Cause it really doesn't look it, besides I prefer subs mostly.
Anime watching: Mobile Suit Gundam, Lupin III, & Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable
Reading: The Golden Compass

It seems like you've already answered your own question.
....But! I agree, the dub really isn't good.

My friend actually recommended Bleach to me so I am already interested in seeing more of that just like every anime, a devoted follower must start from the beginning. I don't understand why so many ppl like One Piece? This is my opinion-but I really feel that a pirate anime/manga is not really suited for Japanimation. Yeah I know next your probably gonna tell me neither is greek history, or European medieval times but they've done it all with Berserk and Saint Saya. So maybe its hypocriticle of me to not like One Piece when I'm going to like Berserk and Saint Saya.

It's not concerned with being a "Great" pirate show in the traditional "western" sense, it's a comedy/action/drama that draws you into the fictional world it creates and makes you care about the characters. It's not going for a realistic representation of pirates and the era at ALL but it doesn't have to.
@ChrisT99
Cause the manga is? If you're seriously off-put by the violence, you should know it escalates as the series goes further.
I don't think Brotherhood is that gory so much as its bloody. There's a big difference there. Blood you should be familiar with the first time you scraped your knee when you were two. Gore, on the other hand - detailed views of a person's insides, for instance, is much more difficult to stomach, and understandably so. You can survive a little blood loss - you learned that when you were two, when your mama put a band-aid on your scrape and you felt better soon after. Gore implies severe, possibly irrepairable damage to a person's body. Now that is definitely something to fear.

How far in are you with One Piece? Because that is a surprisingly accurate description. Also, I feel the story becomes really interesting and epic once you get pretty far in, but that's thanks in large part to how much you'll care about the characters by then.
