I understand, but just due to my time available, and other things I could never blow through 100+ eps in 3 weeks, never. But I can understand getting too addicted, but right now I can't really stop, cause one I start a show I don't ever drop it unless I really begin to loath it.
I wish you the best of luck then, and hope One Piece doesn't become an exception.
For a moment, I thought I was starting to understand anime. I just watched Kaze no Stigma and Squid Girl for example, and was perfectly at ease. Then I turned on This Ugly Yet Beautiful World. WHAT!? I'm only a few episodes in, and am almost completely lost. I hate the anime types that don't clue you in at all as to what's going on and slowly take an episode at a time to explain things. I'm all for surprises and plot twists, but when you're having trouble keeping pace with the plot itself to begin with, that's a bit problematic. Now I'm sure one of you is going to quickly point to some other anime that is three times more confusing or that I'm too thick-brained to properly recognize certain anime customs, but you must remember I'm new to this genre.

Well anime is less of a genre and more of a medium. Just like you can find cartoons/other TV shows with congruent plots you can find ones with off the walls plots. I haven't checked that anime you're referring to out more than once, over a year ago and stopped before the episode was over....so I can't really comment.
Anime watching: Mobile Suit Gundam, Lupin III, & Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable
Reading: The Golden Compass

I don't remember ever having trouble keeping up with TUYBW. But I think I'm in the minority, there. A lot of other people seemed to be at a loss on that one that I've encountered. I don't remember the plot, of course. It's better to just focus on the characters and their relationships. That's what the whole thing is about, anyways.
@CanisWolfred
What I wonder is how many animes you've watched (based on the way you act, it seems like it could be over 60) and how you possibly find the time to watch them all.

60? I've completed over 150 shows, and sampled at least 100 others, probably more. I've been watching anime since I was 6 though I did take two multi-year breaks.
By the way, is it just me, or does Squid Girl seem like a watered down (unintended pun) version of Sgt. Frog? If you really think about it, they have quite a number of similarities.

They're both like less-over-the-top/creepy versions of Invader Zim, actually.

Geeze, I've probably not watched 150 shows OF ANY KIND in my life...How on Earth do you find the time?
@WingedFish
Although I haven't watched either yet, the basic plot sounds similar. Like I said a bit ago, both remind me a bit of one of my favorite shows, Invader Zim, most likely without Zim's darker sense of humor though.

Wow, you said that just before I did, hehe. I'd agree with that. I quite like Invader Zim, it's my 3rd favorite Nicktoon.

Uh, half of those were on Toonami and Adult Swim and Ani-Monday/Tuesday. The rest I saw over the course of the 3 years since I left high school. Also, I watched a ton of OVAs, which are shorter than usual shows. Plus, Ilike I said, I usually only watch up to 3 or 4 episodes a day, with 6 episodes being my limit for shows I'm really into. That's only about 2 or 3 hours max. Even on school days, I always had that much time in my day.
@CanisWolfred
Well I am in numerous after school clubs and activities....
Regardless I also don't have cable, so unfortunately many cartoons/shows/animes that people commonly talk about "being part of their childhood" never really feels the same to me. None of the older 70s/80s/90s/0s shows give me nostalgia...but I approach them and appreciate them from an older age than when I would have initially experienced them.

Hearing Invader Zim makes me want to watch Panty & Stockings for some reason. I have plenty of episodes left on that show too. I just loved how messed up it is.
