What I agree with kkslider about Full Metal Panic. Especially about the second season.
I think the entire middle of that season kinda blew my mind on how effective scenes were for what I otherwise considered a "pretty good" series. THE HAIRCUT! THE HAIRCUT!
yup FMP the first season is pretty much for anyone. The FMP raid is for the people who enjoyed the action/drama part of the series and fumoffu is basically for anyone who enjoyed the comedy in that series. Sometimes i wish kyoani would make a third season.
Has anyone seen Aku no Hana or Attack on titan recently?

I'm pretty sure CrunchyRoll's picked up Aku no Hana, but I'll probably wait until a few episodes are out until I start. I don't like waiting a week for each one to come out
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
Naruto - Very touching conclusion to the battle. Never anticipated to be rooting for the bad guy, lol (also, strangest place for a commercial break, ever).
Soul Eater - Missed it
ThunderCats - Missed it
Sym-Bionic Titan - Repeat
Eureka 7 - Pretty cool battle there at the end. Also, I was on the edge of my seat when Renton's grandfather was trying to launch the board. (oh, and were the helmets of the military's hazmat suits designed after light bulbs, lol).
Tenchi Muyo! GXP - This episode actually didn't completely suck. There was a very minimal amount of risque humor, and a decent battle scene.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I recommend you looking at the first five minutes and decide to drop it now. It looks terrible, worst anime of the season imo.
I had really high hopes because of the production team. What didn't you like about it? I haven't seen it yet.
EDIT: After reading some impressions, I realise that the artstyle is horrible. Maybe it won't be as bad in motion, but good heavens the screenshots... those faces... At least I'll be promised with a good, if confronting, story if I can endure the weird style.

I actually felt that the first season failed to do anything well, rather than be for anyone. Like as if it didn't know who it wanted to impress, unlike the other seasons.

You always seem to be recapping Toonami...
Also, I'm assuming they're airing older episodes of Bleach, Soul Eater, and Thundercats because all those are already over.
Anime watching: Mobile Suit Gundam, Lupin III, & Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable
Reading: The Golden Compass
Gargantia of the Verdurous Planet has a very, very, VERY promising first episode. I loved every minute of it. Great establishment of the story, well-paced, subtle introductions of characters, and some pretty cool action at the beginning. I, of course, love everything about the animation and the art style as well, including the mecha and character designs. And I especially love the twist on the lost-in-space/"Advanced"-man-meets-"primitive"-man type of story. I can't wait to see the next episode, this show seems like it's really going somewhere good!
Day 3 of Konata's: Waiting for Skip Beat! Journal.
I was really hoping for a translation, but alas. There was none.
I shall leave you with this page, as i'm waiting for the new chapter translation x3.

I saw and it definitely is looking like it will be one of the top three of this season. It seems like its a little lighthearted for something gen urobuchi would do but im sure that will change later on. im going to be looking forward to this anime too. what im wondering about is if all the soldiers are kept sleeping till their is a battle or was he just sleeping for no reason?
Let's talk about the endings to two series; From The New World and Blast of Tempest.
From The New World: I'm very disappointed with this one. While the series maintained the overall tone, it really should have dived into and stay in the no-hope, everything-is-lost angle that it seemed to be going down. The end-show reveal is so up-front that it destroys any sense of mounting tension. So yeah, I'm disappointed.
Blast of Tempest: Once again disappointing, but far from as disappointing as From The New World's ending. Maybe that's because I was mostly watching this show for the ride and not to see how it all winds up. Nevertheless, I wasn't entirely satisfied by this ending. The final action scene was slightly rushed and some character endings were odd in my eyes. However, the ending doesn't diminish the past feelings I've obtained from watching the show.
