Dang it!
I've been waiting a month for the new Skip Beat! chapter.
It came out in Japan yesterday, and I have no idea when it's gonna be translated x3.
The wait is killing me!

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
Can anyone tell me whether Full Metal Panic!" or *Samurai 7 are any good?
They just finished up Samurai 7 a few months ago on Toonami, and I found it to be alright, but nothing spectacular.
The mechanical samurai (often referred to as "Kiku" by a little girl accompanying the group) is a very entertaining character, but everyone else seems pretty flat. Also, they spend more time strategizing & reflecting upon the moral internal struggles of being a warrior, than they do actually fighting.
I'd recommend Rurouni Kenshin much, much more, if you're looking for a samurai anime.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

dunno, I like the idea or moral struggle. As much as I like action, I don't mind if it takes a backseat.
Anime watching: Mobile Suit Gundam, Lupin III, & Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable

@Konata, I'm not sure why but she still looks like Kyou from Clannad to me.
When I first got this Shouko pic, I hadn't seen Clannad yet.
But now that I look at it, you're totally right x3. You just need to add that little white thing that's always in her hair and BOOM!
Instant Kyou.

That's fine, but as I mentioned before though, the characters' personalities are flat (meaning you're never really given a reason to care about their internal struggles). That's where the problem is.
If the characters had more personality, it'd work much better. Again, "Kiku" is the only character they did a good job portraying, but he alone isn't enough to carry the entire series (especially when there's other stuff you could be watching).

All this talk of samurai anime reminded me that I had planned to watch Samurai Champloo a while ago. So I went and watched the first episode. It's a little violent I guess, but the three leads are all very entertaining characters to watch. And the record scratches for sword swings works so much better than I thought it would

everything said by RR is true about Samurai 7. On a chatroom somewhere on the internet, I made it a running gag that I just wanted a spinoff of Kiku and the normal characters (mainly the main kid and the snarky one) just go on wacky adventures.
Also Full Metal Panic! is pretty decent. The first season is pretty ok, above average. But Fumoffu, the full-on comedy midquel if really fun and Second Raid, the sequel series, is freaking great and has some really solid drama.
