Okay, I need to watch Air Gear now. I thought it was an extreme sports anime, but but it appears to be more of an action anime with some sports elements. I'll probably regret watching it, of course - I got drawn into TenjhoTenge by action-heavy AMVs, and outside of the action scenes (which weren't as frequent as I'd hoped) that show was completely insufferable. Both Air Gear and Tenjho Tenge were written by the same mangaka. Still, those action scenes were intense, and that's the thing Oh Great seems to be best at.

Oh yeah, Air Gear was one of the first anime I heard of exclusively through the internet I think. I just never got to watch it though.

Has anyone seen Origin: Spirits of the Past? I noticed it on Netflix numerous times, and am interested to watch for purely for this ridiculous-sounding premise:
"After a cataclysm shatters the moon, plants before the world's most intelligent life forms," Now how does that make any sense? I'm waiting for opinions before I decide to check it out.

When I was a little kid I used to watch Ponyo and Teen Titans. They were pretty good and pretty funny too. But want I REALLY like about anime, is their RPG's in video game's. You know like Tales of Grace,Abyss,Smpthonia. Stuff like that.

Unsurprisingly, the Tales series has some decent anime out there.

All reports say that it's a decent flick, though not great. 6 out of 10s all around everywhere I look.

I think I caught part of an episode of Tenjho Tenge a few years ago, on one of those paid channels a few years ago, when they were having a free trial week (Starz or Encore).

I did't see enough of it to form an opinon, but it looked like something that could have a lot of fan service.

A long time ago, my 12ish year old family friend showed me Tenjho Tenge's opening theme to make a joke about the.. uh. well, size of a woman's chest. Although the song was annoyingly catchy though

And the promos of Air Gear reminded me of Jet Set Radio, with the gangs and the superpowered inline skates. The art designs remind me of something like Beyblade. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

Also, has anyone read Holyland? I read the first chapter a while back, it seemed interesting for a shonen series, mostly because of its realism. I should probably get back to it someday.

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

I watched all the episodes on Netflix, and I can attest that it has a LOT of fan service; in more ways then one if you catch my drift...

Oh no!
The episode of Minami-ke Tadaima I just finished, was actually the season finale!
CRAP BASKETS!

I feel like they are gonna end it after this, I mean it has has four full seasons already.
I'm depressed though, the show is so good! I would consider it my favorite anime ever.

I was going to watch Macross Plus last night, but I kept getting knocked back to the YouTube main page everytime I tried watching it... (It was posted by MANGA Entertainment themselves, though, so it might have been a "pay to watch" video, which is probably why I couldn't watch it).

I ended up watching the first episode of A.D. Police Files, instead. It's not on the same level as Cyber City OEDO 808, Appleseed, of Ghost in the Shell, IMO, but it was still pretty good nonetheless, and I'll watch the rest.

If it's age, you probably should find another source?

I'm sure I'm old enough (I'm 22, BTW), but I get on YouTube with the 360 app, so certain features (like verifying your age, and paid videos) aren't available.

It's worth it overall, though, to watch stuff on the big screen.

If I had a 360, I'm sure I'd do that sounds nice.
