^Oh man, that was amazing, I don't even remember that song from Gundam 00. Imma gonna go listen to more Gundam music again. BTW, did you ever watch Gundam 00?

'Cause that song is from Code Geass R2. It' the first opening, And no, I've never seen it. I've never seen any Gundam actually. Don't know where to start.

What does everyone think of the Fullmetal Alchemist anime? I'm really into it right now.

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

You can start anywhere, especially at the beginning. Only the first 3 shows are connected. Everything else is stand alone. Hell, you could even watch SEED Destiny before SEED, and it wouldn't really matter, since it's basically the same show all over again, except worse.

And I thought it was from Code Geass at first. Still, it was nice to listen to more Gundam music.

Which one are you watching?

I personally prefer Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, but both are great.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

TheKingOfTown

the first one. Brotherhood got removed from Netflix unfortunately.

I decided to watch the first two episodes of Gintama to see if it'd be worth watching once I'm done with One Piece. It is. It really is. I know I was already impressed with the latest season, but it seems like it held that level of quality more or less since the beginning. It has a wonderful mix of comedy, drama, and action, though it still suffered from being more or less a pilot, so hopefully later episodes will be even better.

@CanisWolfred I read some of Gintama and fell in love with it immediately. And unlike other shonen anime/manga, its not bogged down with too much action/fighting scenes (unless you like that of course). The comedy, drama and general wackiness is just so appealing. I watched some of the anime as well- it's hilarious (the way it parodies other animes). Definitely watch it after one piece. Have you tried watching Sket Dance? I've read most of it and its slightly similar to Gintama (alright, it's a vague connection but still!).

Anybody read/watch Bakuman or Kateykyo Hitman Reborn?

One Piece is definitely premiering on Toonami soon. Just saw a bumb for it while watching Family Guy earlier tonight.

Yeah, I only just found out about One Piece returning to Toonami during an Adult Swim bump, but it's very pleasant news to my ears (and eyes). Assuming the ratings for it aren't abysmal compared to the other programming in their block, Toonami should have at least one half-hour spot locked for, well, years and years and years. I just hope its massive length isn't too intimidating to new viewers of the series (I love One Piece now, but that leviathan of an episode list is what sadly, foolishly deterred me from giving it a try for the longest time).

And since people ITT seem to be talking about Gintama at the moment, I'll throw out that I've been meaning to give the series a look for a while now, as I've never heard a bad word about it. However, I've read that the biggest barrier to enjoying it is that the jokes can be somewhat hard to follow, depending on how familiar (or, rather, unfamiliar) one is with Japanese culture. I like to think that I have a moderate amount of knowledge there, but I'm still a bit nervous that too many references will simply go over my head. So I guess this paragraph is just a roundabout way of asking for someone to ease my concerns, so I can finally get around to starting it. Well, after I finish Steins;Gate anyway.

Is Hetalia: Axis Powers any good?

Yes, it is very funny but the first few episodes aren't as good as some of the later ones. The movie is pretty good too. It is overrated though, you may not know this if you don't have any friends who are really into it but it has a massive fandom. I'm not sure how it got such a big fandom but I doubt I'd know much about how big its fanbase is if I didn't have a friend who's such a big fan of it.

Yes, I've seen the first two series of Bakuman, haven't got round to watching the third yet though. It is a very good anime though with some great characters. I did really enjoy the first series but I think the second was even better! Also, I love Reborn! Its my favourite anime! I just saw episode 136 last night and it was excellent! I was not expecting the twists and reveals that were in that episode, I'm really interested in seeing where the series goes after that. I was also pleased to see the return of a certain group of characters at the end of the episode, there was one that I was especially pleased to see. How far are you in those series?

kkslider5552000

I'd never watch the Bakuman anime, mainly because it's a manga about manga and I'm already reading the manga.

I finished reading both Katekyo Hitman Reborn and Bakuman. I loved reading both and was disappointed when they ended, especially KHR. Lambo and Reborn were two of my favourite characters! Do you plan on just watching the anime or will you read the manga as well? I've watched some of the anime and apparently the two have different endings.

I have been reading the Manga but I'm much further in the anime. Unfortunately, the anime of Reborn ends after the future arc so it doesn't cover all of the manga. The last episode I saw was the one where Irie reveals a lot of unexpected information and TYL!Varia appear. My favourite characters are Tsuna (my favourite character from any anime), Gokudera, Chrome, Belphegor and Spanner (which is why he's my current avatar). Who are your favourite Bakuman characters? Mine are Fukuda, Aoki, Takagi and Miyoshi.
