Naruto - Good guys are on the ropes, but wait what's this? Naruto goes total InuYasha on them at the end (inner demon taking control and all that).
You're that far already? Oh wait, wrong episode I'm thinking of. By the second time that happens, though, I felt the show jumped the shark and went all DBZ.
But by that point only HALF of the side characters became completely forgotten/worthless instead of all of them.

That's practically what every Shounen series ever made does. Bleach does it, One Piece does it.
One Piece never forgets anybody, and very few people are ever useless. Not even Usopp. Usopp!
EDIT: Nevermind, I see what post you were quoting now. I meant the show was mirroring DBZ's absurd exponential power boosts, which was a problem because it was much too early for them to tap into the demon powers. Luckily they ended up surpressing it and it doesn't come up until again until a while later where it makes more sense, but I still felt the DBZ comparison stood, as it was beginning to mirror other problems with that show.
@Mewtwo21
I didn't like the third season that much.
But the forth season is really good.
If you wanna get back into watching it I would just go start with the forth season.

Tried to watch Envangelion 1.11 on Toonami today and i saw 2 hours of it and it was great. However it was 3am and i was getting a little sleepy so i just went to sleep.Wish i could of seen the rest though.
Oh my word I LOVE Nagisa's parents.
They are so hilarious! Her dad is the best.
Oh I almost feel sorry for you, Clannad second season is heartbreaking for the most part (how I suffered watching one episode per week as it came out). Still very much worth it.
And I finally rewatched episode 483 of One Piece. It still has me really freaking choked up.
Having recently seen episode 485, I actually started crying. I knew it was coming, and I'd seen it before. But still I cried. It's sad, yet touching. Also, Whitebeard vs. Akainu is still one of the better fights in the series.

I haven't seen Axis Powers, but from what I've seen in trailers and stuff, it's just more Hetalia. If you like that, you'll probably enjoy Axis Powers, too. Unless you're tired of it, or you're like me and find the entire show grossly offensive, then you probably won't enjoy it.
Its the first hetalia series so its a great place to start at.
Oh you're right. I thought he was talking about Beautiful World. Nevermind my previous post, then.
Personally, I find the whole show offensive on a conceptual level. It's humor isn't quite as lowbrow as your usual American comedian making use of racial stereotypes, yet still I just don't find it funny. Even if I did, I simply wouldn't feel good laughing at it. I just don't like people reinforcing stupid stereotypes.
If you can get past that, though, or even like seeing countries personified as stereotypical characters, you'll probably enjoy it.

The final battle against the 3rd angel was absolutely incredible. It's the part I think they changed up the most from the original series (probably to make it more befitting as the climax of a film), and it was stunning. Too bad you had to miss it.
On an unrelated note, I watched Dragon Ball Z: the Dead Zone & Bleach: Memories of Nobody last night on YouTube before Toonami came on.
It's not the first time I've saw them (and there's nothing for you here unless you're a fan of the shows), but they were a nice way to kick off the night.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I decided to watch the first two episodes of Gintama to see if it'd be worth watching once I'm done with One Piece. It is. It really is. I know I was already impressed with the latest season, but it seems like it held that level of quality more or less since the beginning. It has a wonderful mix of comedy, drama, and action, though it still suffered from being more or less a pilot, so hopefully later episodes will be even better.
