Just finished reading the next chapter of BTOOOM!, and it was incredibly intense, but so rewarding when Ryota found a way out of his predicament (for now...).

Also, to those of you who follow the newest seasons in the anime world, I remember this was supposed to be getting an anime adaptation that was supposed to launch last fall (according to NHK World). Have any of you heard about how well it's doing, or have you seen it yourself?

What? I watched 11 episodes of Shugo Chara. What fan service was there? I don't remember any unless you want to count her cheerleading form for being a cheerleading outfit? The cat guy was pretty hilarious too. Idk if I'm thinking of the episodes I skipped ahead to but they have a pretty funny slapstick relationship.
I stopped watching it but that was out of better shows to watch.

I didn't notice that much fan-service. To be honest.

Maybe I'm just blind.

Holding someone down in a compromising position, or sneaking into a girl's room at night when she's asleep, cuddling up to her, and nipping her ear is anything but funny, IMO.

Huh. I don't remember that. Yeah, it was the later episodes I skipped to that made me like the catboi then.

Oooooh you meant THAT. I didn't think that exactly as fan-service. But I see where you're coming from.

The app crashed before I saw him nip her ear, and I didn't bother to finish the episode.
So I guess I missed that x3.

I've seen it floating around, but it hasn't been phenomenally successful iirc

Can I get removed from this requirement if I didn't like either Kanon or Air? I don't think I could survive another one.

The last 12 episodes of Clannad are much more epic than the last episodes of Kanon and Air. The first introductory episodes though.. basically the same

There's slightly less moe, but only slightly

Bleach - This episode was pretty much just Kenpachi kicking butt.

Naruto - Some hope for the good guys, but they're still getting whooped up on.

Soul Eater - Still just watching this for the awesome action

ThunderCats - A giant dinosaur that shoots fire, err, lightning, vs a giant moth, err, butterfly. Godzilla reference, I assume? (Also, am I the only one who has noticed that the people who bought the elixer have fallen into a "Ponzi scheme", being that the salesman's name is Ponzi?).

Tenchi Muyo! GXP - Missed it this week.

EDIT: BTW, @Magicarp, thanks for the info on the BTOOOM! anime. I just remember NHK World saying the manga was becoming immensely popular, so I was just wondering.

I went back to finish at LEAST the first season of Shugo Chara.
I feel like maybe ill like it more later on, I'm not sure.
I'm also planning on watching Oreshura. It seems like something I would like.

Just watched the new episode of Minami-ke Tadaima
It was alright. There was a lack of Fujioka, which I didn't enjoy.
Banchou Fujioka is one of my favorite characters, and he's usually in every episode. He adds more awesomeness to the show x3.

So, I know it's still a few months away, but do you think they'll do anything special for the 1 year anniversary of Toonami's revival, like a retro lineup, new show, movie, or even just a special promo or two?

I think they have enough planned regardless of that.

Yeah, they've been doing a wonderful job of keeping the block fresh (whether it be a new show every few months or so, the twice monthly game reviews, & special promos), so I wouldn't be upset or surprised if they didn't do anything particularly special for the anniversary, but it'd still be nice

I'm also preparing myself for the potential "Toonami is cancelled" April Fool's joke (since they historically pull their April Fool's jokes on Saturday nights).

Just read the newest chapter of Bleach! Pretty awesome chapter!

Also read the one shot Kintoki by Akira Toriyama! At times it felt a little like Dragon Ball, but it's concept was interesting enough, & would actually like to see more of it.

Yesterday I read the 4th chapter of BTOOOM!. It does have a very interesting story, & is very detailed, but for some reason it hasn't quite hooked me yet. To those of you who read manga, how long does it usually take for a manga to really grab you?

If a Manga doesn't grab me within the first two chapters, it never does. Anime at least has a chance of grabbing me later on, but for sone reason it never works that way with manga.

And for a second there, I though you were talking about Sakata Kintoki from Gintama.
