I get through anime pretty slowly as I normally only watch 1 episode a day unless its a series like Hetalia where each episode is only 5 minutes. I know someone whose girlfriend got through the entirety of Full Metal Alchemist (not sure if it was the original or Brotherhood) in 2 or 3 days!

Wow. She must be dedicated!
Anyway back to Skip Beat!
I still can't believe it started in 2002, and it's STILL GOING.
I got to the end and the next chapter doesn't come out till NEXT MONTH.
It's torture because it just started getting good!
I have read a total of 138 Chapters in the past three days.
I need more! (Just great, I sound obsessed.)

Nah, that's how everyone acts when they hit the availabile end of a good series before the official end. Glad to know you're enjoying it, though. When I tried out some shoujo anime, Skip Beat came off as one of the better ones I saw. I still have a lot of trouble getting into shoujo in general, though. Maybe someday I'll go through it.
^ I would suggest if you wanna finish Skip Beat! you should just watch the anime. It's not really that Shoujo-ish. The Manga gets really deep into it though, and if you don't enjoy it that much. The anime would be a better route over all.
Okay, so I'm trying to learn Japanese, and I'm trying to find out where to start on learning the Words. So I thought I would take a random japanese song (An anime theme song because those get stuck in my head.) and roughly translate It from Hiragana (or Romanji) into English so I could get a feeling for the words.
This may work, or fail miserably. But I was wondering if Anyone could think of an anime song off the top of their head so I could try out my plan.
I was thinking since I love anime so much, it would be way more fun this way then just finding random japanese text and translating it.

Here's something I'd wish I'd known about earlier.
There's a Princess Mononoke stage production due to begin in London early next month. Before you hurl money at the screen though (as I damn near did), its already completely sold out. Both runs of it - there's one happening in June too (and a production in Tokyo between the April and June UK runs). Bah. But, its popularity has been so huge that they're hoping to do another tour in the future. Really hope they do!
Reminds me of those days where I'd watch 30+ episodes of anime in a week haha
To be honest, I'm a fast reader. My eyes were hurting after looking at my iPod screen for so long though xD.
Also,
when I watched Ranma 1/2 I would watch like 5 Episodes a day.
Since there were so many episodes, I would watch 1 in the morning. A 2-3 in the afternoon. And 1-2 before I went to bed x3.
Back in my final year of highschool, I used to study until 9, go to bed early and lie there watching anime until the battery ran out. It eventually got to a stage when I started watching the second I got back from school, studied for about 2 hours, and then resumed watching - I was a complete zombie in all my classes before I decided to pace myself
it doesn't help that a lot of anime love cliffhangers and big reveals at the end of an episode either
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

That's nothing honestly, One Piece has been going since 1997, Detective Conan has been on going since 1994, but if you really wanna see something crazy that's still on going then look no further than Kochikame which has been on going since 1976.
I had no idea.
I feel stupid now >_<
Anyway, On the Japanese subject, I use an app called Human Japanese and it works really well, But I need to get the words/ characters imprinted in my head x3.
@Konata Most Kanji look like what they mean, and kana is phonetic if I remember correctly. There's a Japanese language discussion thread where people will be glad to help you learn

Holy crap...
in Kitchen Princess Two twelve year olds just made out.
I'm like..
Whaaaaaa!?!? They're 12. 12!
I mean, I know a lot of manga has stuff like that. But do they really treat 12 year olds like adults?
I don't know >_<.
...Or maybe I'm just picking the wrong manga to read x3.
I watched Street Fighter Alpha: the Animation last night on YouTube! I've actually seen it once before some years ago, but pickings are a bit slim at the moment on YouTube, so I figured what the heck.
As for my thoughts on the movie, I felt that it started on a good foundation, but just sort of lost it's way somewhere along the path.
The character designs were bold & colorful, & I enjoyed the earlier parts of the movie (especially when Ryu & Ken were at their old dojo, and it was funny when Sakura was running around looking for Ryu), but when it started to get more serious, it was just, wierd...
It's like they tried to force a surprisingly dark story into it, and that just really conflicted with the bold character designs & the lighter tone of the early part of the film. It also doesn't help matters that the art style they chose can get really weird (the main villain at the end, as well as Akuma & Dark Hadou Ryu, just looked down right goofy).
At least the action was relatively good, and I believe Ken was voiced by the same guy who did Cowboy Bebop's Spike, which I found amusing.
Too creepy in places to really enjoy as a cheesy martial arts flick, yet too bold & colorful to enjoy as more serious fare, it really doesn't fit anywhere.
If you have the means, I feel like the Fatal Fury trilogy, Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer, or the Dragon Ball Z line of films & specials, would be much more worthy of your time.

To be fair, I used to see 12 and 13 year olds making out back when I was in middle school...granted, I had the same reaction...

BTW, just a reminder that Toonami's going to be an hour short this week, due to daylight savings time kicking in.
At first I thought they were going to cut the hour of Cowboy Bebop or inuYasha for the night, but according to my cable's info, Sym-Bionic Titan & Eureka 7 will be taking the night off, apparently.
