Last night I watched Golgo 13: Queen Bee on YouTube!

The story was actually really engaging, and confronted some dark themes I don't think I've seen an anime cover before (at least not so bluntly). The animation though, while not bad, lacked the polish that I've seen from similar series.

Definitely not for kids, though. In addition to a fair amount of blood, it had enough nudity to put Gowcaizer to shame O_O.

ScrewAttack has a series of YouTube videos called Death Battle, where they pick two characters (anime/video game/comic book/ect), and through scientific analysis, try to see who'd win, complete with an animated confrontation (like Deadliest Warrior).

Well, they just put out a new video that's Goku vs Superman. It's a half hour long (and I personally didn't care for the end result), but it's pretty enjoyable and humorous.

Yeah, Goku vs. Superman was pretty entertaining to watch at least.

Goku was robbed, though.

I can't wait to see people's reactions to Eureka 7 tonight. This is when we really start to get to the meat of the series.

So I just found out that Crunchyroll now hosts Squid Girl! It seems pretty funny so far, I think it'll be a nice "unwind" series. Plus, all the blue reminds me of ARIA haha

- Vivired Operation:

So I started watching Vivired Operation. It's terrible and contains shots of highly detailed 14 year-old girl crotches. So yeah, don;t watch it.

Aw man, all those anime movies posted by "blumeanie876" were pulled off of YouTube. I can't necessarily say I'm surprised, but I had at least hoped they would have pulled them bit by bit (some were posted months before others).

I just finished watching Squid Girl (Hence my avatar.)
It's amazing, I really enjoyed it.

Too late, I'm already fully invested.

How is it, Dezner? At least compared to Strike Witches, that is. I actually enjoyed SW, even though it was basically fluff as far as I could tell.

I've seen a portion of both series and I can tell you that if you're looking for lighthearted and obvious fan-service, Strike Witches is a better choice. Strike Witches, beyond the first episodes, purely only exists for that fan base and it knows it. Vivired Operation, on the other hand, considers its extreme fan-service as more of a secondary focus, which gives the show more of an insidious quality that is slightly uncomfortable.

Bleach - Umm, wow. Did I just see a one episode overview of the Soul Society arc, redone in a Middle Eastern theme!? That was totally random...

Naruto - Pretty good episode. Things are moving along nicely in the battle (although the bad guys still have the upper hand).

Soul Eater - OMG, it's the Adrian Monk of Grim Reapers, lol. Funny episode.

ThunderCats - A bit of a bland episode tonight, IMO, but at least last week's wasn't the final one, as I had feared.

Sym-Bionic Titan - Repeat.

Eureka 7 - Great episode with some big reveals! Can't say I'm too surprised though, as I caught the last few episodes of the series the last time it was on AS.

Tenchi Muyo GXP! - Holy crap! WTH did they do to Ryoko's voice!!! (The old Ryoko's voice had that same quality to it that Vegita's & InuYasha's have. Where you could tell they weren't always the nice guy, and aren't people to be messed with. Her new voice has no "bite" to it, if that makes sense). With all that said, this episode even topped last week's (which was far better than anything before it). It does make me wish for some true Tenchi, though.

My local Barnes & Noble has a crap selection of Manga. But the one in the next city over has a whole thing of Manga.

Yeah, Vividred is pretty much fluff, but still enjoyable to watch. I'm pretty easy-going.

I've been meaning to watch Strike Witches for years now, but it's always on my "maybe" list for purchasing blindly. ^_^

I'm guessing it's a character song? I actually find the constant change in tone and pitch of the singer's voice rather obnoxious. The chorus is alright, but the rest of the song is hard to listen to, IMO. I hope the voice actress doesn't play the character that way...

It wasn't in the anime so yeah, it's a character song. The chorus is my favorite thing about that track. Mio's voice is pretty constant through out episodes. She definitely doesn't talk like she sings. She's suppose to be the shy moe character. I think she does a really good job in the show.
