Topic: Anime & Manga (NO SPOILERS PLEASE)

I'm on Ch. 522. Oh, you're on 512? No wonder it seems remotely interesting.
To me the whole Quincies coming from nowhere and being more powerful than everyone seems stupid. The only remotely thing I feel is awesome about this arc is that they killed off 2 named characters (SPOILERS Byakuya doesn't die End Spoilers) and making Retsu the scariest character in the entire series.

The power of the Quincies is actually pretty well explained, from what I have read.

It was mentioned (by the Quincy Ichigo fought in Hueco Mundo), that all the weapons Uryu Ishida have are outdated relics inherited from his grandfather, and thus not as powerful as their current weaponry (at least 200 years more refined, for the sole purpose of war with Soul Society). Even with his outdated gear, Uryu was able to match (and actually best) a captain's Bankai (when he fought Mayuri in the Invasion Arc), at the cost of his abilities.

With their 200 years of refinement, the Quincy have been able to perfect that form (where they won't lose their powers), giving them an equivalent to Bankai. Furthermore, they have been able to force the captains into a handicapped state, where they're unable to fight at full strength. In other words, they are equal to (not superior) to the captains in strength, but the captains aren't able to fight at full strength (if they were able to use their Bankai, and thus fight at full strength, they'd be able to fight at an even level, as is shown when Ichigo fought his opponent in Hueco Mundo, and when Kenpachi was able to defeat 3 Stern Ritter).

I'll agree that the sudden appearance of the Quincy (an entire army, in fact) kind of came out of left field, but they still have time to explain it, I suppose.

Has someone already picked up the first half of Little Busters? Crunchyroll only has episode 13 onwards.

I was also going to check out Encouragement of Climb because I didn't see much else that I could get into easily, but the first episode was buggy :/ I think my iTouch is too old to use the Crunchyroll app, so back to youtube I go, ho hum

@Magikarp - The rest of Little Busters will appear at a steady rate, which means I can safely put it off until it's done.

Also, yeah, if you're iPod Touch is gen 3 or older, and doesn't support iOS 4.3.1 or higher, you can't run the CR app anymore. It sucks...not that I found it easy to watch anime on my iPod, anyways, but whatever, it still sucks.

Blue Exorcist is a slow show. I love the anime's slightly faster pace and style, but it is still exceedingly slow to start. The anime only gets going, like, halfway into it. And then it's over in 12 episodes. I do love the emphasis on story and characters, rather than on action, but that can only carry an action anime so far. And to be quite honest, the action so far has been boring (I got halfway into the anime), and I flipped through volume 3 of the manga, and the action is still fairly boring. I'm not asking them to go to rediculous power-levels early on like Fairy Tail, but...the main character rarely fights. He's the son of the g-ddamned Devil. I want to see him fight. -_-

Well, the Shonen Jump ALpha is now officially Weekly Shonen Jump. The design is much better and looks great.

...However, I am confused as to it being synced with Japan, as the chapters are those that I read translations of last week...

Wait a minute, what? As in THE Weekly Shonen Jump? So we no longer need to pirate to have the latest chapters?! That's amazing! A real feat for Manga.

Yeah. I'm not sure if it's 100% synced yet, but I'm gonna find out.

I was always curious about that. I always thought that Zabuza could have used the demon wind shurikan that was already in his hand to slam it into the second one (Naruto) and deflect it, or throw it at the second shurikan, but that never happened. He could have done the same thing after the kunai was thrown too.

Or he could have angled or contorted his arm to avoid the kunai.

Or just take the hit from the kunai. A small wound would have been worth keeping Kakashi imprisoned.

And since Kakashi was imprisoned, couldn't Haku have just come out and fight at that point, completing their goal faster by eliminating Tazuna, instead of draging it out over several weeks?

Well I got dissapointed, I was watching zatch bell english dubbed and learned that they never finished making the dub, so I checked a bit of the sub and the voices are horrible and it's perverted, so I won't be finishing this sadly.

ugh yeah i learned the hard way too it was very disappointing first its the change of voice actors then its the whole ending it quick and no dub .-. i still watched it on sub but yeah not the same i heard the manga still went on from that point of the story and it had a few more till it really ended

So I just learned that the next Conan video game being released is from Chunsoft.

I'll give you a clue why this might be a big deal.

I just watched a couple episodes of A Certain Magical Index (Dub)
I don't usually watch anime like that, but I'm sorta enjoying it, it has two of my favorite voice actors in it :3 (Yuri from Angel Beats and Momoka from Sgt. Frog)
Anyhoo, it's pretty interesting.

I am almost finished with Full Metal Panic. What's funny is that even though it is filler and comic relief, Fumoffu is my favorite arc. Especially the episodes where they train the rugby players and the mafia.

I'd be all over that game, if anything Conan ever made it to North America.

even if it sucked, I'd likely buy it in a heartbeat.

So, I was playing around with the Crunchyoll App on PS3 and saw all of the "Free Samples". I ended up watching the entire first episode of Toradora! and I couldn't stop, even though I just saw it a few months ago.

Such a great show!

Anyways, I just started the Saobody Archipelago Arc this morning, and got to the part where they unmask Duval (Durval?), and now I officially love this show. That was Gold. Pure Freakin' Gold.

I just realized with Binbogami-ga I saw episode 7 and for some reason thought that was the last one. It's the half way point. I haven't seen the show in over a week. I should get on that!
