So apparently beyblade now has a spin-off known as BeyWheelz... If you thought spinning tops battling was a stupid idea for an anime get ready for mini tires battling each other. I never thought Beyblade would get popular enough for a-OH WAIT. The exact opposite. The current season Metal something whatever was shortened to 13 minutes so BeyWheelz was created to fill the time slot? And promot the toys, obviously. I won't bother with either. Also, Battle B-Damon is back somehow. Cross fight B-Damon or something. Just sharing some useless info.
But love Beyblade or hate it there is no denying it had one of if not the best English dubbed opening ever!

oh man, beyblade... I'm embarrassed to have played with them all those years ago considering how lame the game was in real life compared to how much the anime hyped it. It always dwindled down to kids watching spinning tops for a few minutes and yelling things. That being said, this whole mini tyre thing seems like an even worse idea! I bet the average kid would spin it like three times before it falls down a drain or ends up in a rose bush.

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

Man you guys watched some terrible shows that only existed to sell toys. I grew up watching shows with substance like Yugioh and Pokemon!

Finished watching Mashiroiro Symphony: Love is Pure White. That one was pretty good ;___; ^__^.
Also Started reading One Piece. I like it so far No romance, but I can deal with manga not having romance better. It has romance in the sense of awesome adventure Can see why it got so popular, for sure.

I haven't really watched or read any Mangas and Anime. Honestly all these new animes are pretty bad.
I only watch Sword Art Online and Arcana Della Famiglia right now.
I haven't read any mangas since I finished Unbalance X Unbalance because I'm sad it ended >///__\>
I haven't bothered with Naruto in months.

This season, or all year? Because it's a sour season right now, as far as I can tell nobody's really enjoying much, but we've had a pretty good year all around. Would've been better if every Giant robot show so far except Lagrange (surprise of the year for me) and Eureka Seven AO (I never liked the series, but most people seem to be enjoying it) didn't suck, but at least we've been having good shows in nearly every category.

Toonami Saturday night!

  • Bleach: The fight between Ichigo and Espada #4 (not even going to try and spell that, lol) is starting to get awesome. The Uryu/Yammy fight was pretty sweet (Yammy reminds me of Nappa ).
  • Samurai 7: A tad slow action wise so far, but I'm digging it. For some reason, it kind of reminds me of Outlaw Star (except in a more traditional Japanese setting, rather than deep space).
  • Casshern Sins: This episode seemed to move a bit slower than the past few IMO, but it was still nice nonetheless.
  • Eureka 7: Another awesome episode. The parts in which Renton was freaking out over Eureka's "children" were especially hilarious. Of course, there was some nice action as well. (they also advertised Gundam Wing on DVD during the E7 commercial break)

The awesome as always FMA:B is currently on, so I'll catch ya later

Got to be honest, I've been waiting the entire series to see who REALLY killed Luna. But now I'm thinking it might actually be Casshern. I'm not sure if I approve of this or not, depends on if what happens for the rest of the series would be more compelling with or without that twist.

What I'm worried about is the comments on the AS boards. For some reason I can't possibly fathom, the general consensus is that Toonami's lineup sucks !?!

For some reason, Samurai 7 & Casshern are widely considered dull, boring trash. They think Eureka 7 is too "old" and not adult enough. Also saying that FMA:B & GitS, while good, need to go since they're "overplayed".

I'm personally loving Toonami's lineup, and am surprised to see the backlash.

Casshern is widely considered boring on every forum I've been on, though I had never heard of Samurai 7 until recently. And GitS is over played. Running for nearly 7+ years straight is the very definition of overplayed.

As for Eureka 7...you sure you're not confusing confusing it with one of the shows in the "dull and boring" category? Because it's a fairly new show ('05 I think. Newer than Samurai 7, at least), and as immature as Rentin is, the show has some pretty heavy themes.

Yeah I haven't been watching Toonami recenty after the lineup switched (Deadman Wonderland not on), so I can't say whether Samurai Seven or Eureka 7 are good or not. However, I do have to saythat Casshern Sins is kind of ehhhhh. On a different note, I'm trying to find a cheap copy of Madoka Magika, or whatever it's spelled. I've heard fantastic things about it, but it's hard to find a physical copy that isn't expensive. Any help?
