Hai, anyone got any word on the Wolf Children movie (by the guy who did Sumemr wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) getting released in Los Americas?
Not yet, but it only got its premier in Japan last month (it premiered in Paris, France before that, though), so it might be a while before we hear anything about it here.

Did it get favourable reviews and whatnot?

I'm liking Samurai 7. For some reason, It kind of reminds me of a "Tales" game (but, that could just because that older, experienced samurai kinda looks like Van...)
Casshern was pretty good tonight. That fight between Casshern and Dio was awesome (although I swear I've heard Dio's voice somewhere else, before).
As for Eureka 7, we need more than a half hour of that show! I'm enjoying it so much, it's like it's over in 5 minutes (kinda like that old saying "time flies when you're having fun").
Not done yet, though. I missed Bleach's first showing, so I'm going to have to stay up to see the replay.

Samurai 7 was so much better this week. 50X better.
I'm surprised Casshern Sins isn't my favorite show on Toonami right now. It's done great build-up and is starting to pay it off but I just like it as much as usual, last episode's twists aside. It does amuse me how DBZ fans presumably stopped watching considering how DBZ-like that whole fight was.
Eureka 7 is awesome. The sudden love confession in EPISODE 2 is what made me decide this anime's great when I first watched it in like...2008. Because after a certain controversial Gundam series I saw years earlier, I swore to hate the "love solves everything" ending forever. And I thought I was gonna HAAAATE this part of the series but that made me laugh out loud the first time and I decided this was great.
I have a feeling this Ichigo/Uqiorra (I know I misspelled that, lol) fight is going to be crazy good. So far the recent action has had me hooked.
Also, they showed an advertisement for Outlaw Star on DVD (during Eureka 7) and an advertisement for a CGI anime called Oblivion Island on DVD (after Samurai 7's second showing).
They also reviewed some XBLA zombie survival/platformer game (I can't remember the name), and gave it a 7/10.
EDIT: They've shown the advertisement for the Oblivion Island DVD twice more, since I first saw it. During the second showing of Eureka 7, they showed an advertisement for Big O on DVD (during the first run, they had an advertisement for Outlaw Star on DVD).
Damn, if the author is playing hard to get, he's certainly pissed me off.
Among those works that got canceled off, say abruptly, was the recently controversial Negima! series, spanning over 9+ years and 300+ chapters.
However, the cancellation was addressed by the author sincerely as well as straight-to-the point.
In both cases, they were having trouble with their publishers and stuff.
(Except that Negima! was a manga series and Infinite Stratos is a Light Novel.)
The author, Izuru, seriously has to fix his problems with his "emotional mood swings" and stuff.
Since Kodansha picked up his series, he should man up and continue his series for his IMMENSELY large fan base to read/enjoy.
Also to add, a Season 2 of Infinite Stratos would be delightful as well. I don't tend to lean towards Light Novels, but since the manga has come to an end, the anime seems to be the next viable and great option.

You should know that Houki and Ichika are the main couple IS is sporting for, even though I personally vouch for Cecilia and Charlotte respectively. :
It's no wonder that the OVA showcases more of the dominant coupling.

That would probably be Deadlight. And Outlaw Star's still on DVD? I thought Bandai pulled out of the anime biz. Did you happen to see who was publishing it?
I editted out the E7 stuff by accident, but I'm surprised that show went so fast for you, since it's pretty much the slowest anime ever created. Like, seriously, if E7's going by fast, Dougram, Legend of Galactic Heroes, and Turn A Gundam should fly right by at the speed of light for you. And yes, those are recommendations.

Which one? I don't remember any of the Gundams having that...
He's probably talking about G Gundam. Also, I'm afraid I missed who was publishing the Outlaw Star DVD. They showed it last week as well, so they'll probably show it again.

But don't forget to tweet animefesta 2012 where it says that there are movements concerning Infinite Stratos, maybe a movie or season 2
It's hard to tell how good L-Gaim might be, when the only ones who have seen the show in its entirety are the guys on /m/Subs, the ones who are translating the show, and they can't stop insulting every show they do a release of. (Granted, it is 4Chan. I went back to /m/ for the first time in over a year, and I was ready to cry in about 5 seconds flat, no exaggeration)
Oh well, at least now they're almost done with both Braigar and L-Gaim, and once those are done, hopefully they can focus on Layzner, which has finally passed the 2/3 mark - only 11 more episodes left to go. Once that's fully subbed, all 4 of Ryosuke Takahashi's old school mecha anime will be in English, and I can watch them all at my leisure (Read: marathon them all at break-neck speed).
episode 44 of Hunter X Hunter is like everything good and bad about shonen anime. It's awesome and loud but introduces interesting characters that are just wasted.
I was recently introduced to Fantastic Children. It looks really fantastic so far. Guess it'l be the next show I watch after Votoms and Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Might watch Sola after that.
Also, does this sound like the intro song to one of the most depressing anime ever made to you:
Because to me, it sounds really cheery and upbeat. Like, I seriously feel enthusiastic and happy listening to this. That's like, the exact opposite of every emotion everything else in this show brings up for me.
Let me know if you do watch Sola, it's been on my radar for a few years now and I still haven't taken the plunge. I'm mostly in it for the character design but overall it just seems right up my alley.
