Holy cow! I'm watching the always awesome FMA:B, and I just realized the little Xingese girl (can't remember her name) has the same VA as Shiro from DMW! (SPOILER. It's the episode where Marcoh, Scar, Alphonse, and the Xingese girl kick Envy's @ss. END SPOILER).
Tonight's ending up pretty fantastic for me. As for GitS, it's the episode where they have to stop that rouge tank, which is possibly my favorite episode of the series.
Just finished up the epic as always finale of Cowboy Bebop as well.
As for the re-aquisition of Eureka 7, I think it's pretty smart:
It's essentially replacing Bebop (since it just finished it's run). Although it'll be on earlier in the night, because it's a "premier" (FMA:B & GitS will probably be pushed back, giving E7 FMA:B's slot, with GitS knocking off CB). Why this is good, is because while they have shown it in the past, since they haven't shown it in a few years, it'll be more fresh than replacing Bebop with a show they were just showing a few months ago (like Kekkaishi, Durarara!!, or InuYasha).
Deadman Wonderland was a surprise hit ratings wise (according to posters on the AS forums). DMW has ended it's run (and is being replaced by Samurai 7). Since Eureka 7 is animated by the same studio as DMW (pretty obviously at that), they might be hoping that the large DMW fanbase might be attracted to E7 (especially if some of them haven't seen it before).
By showing Eureka 7, they could be setting things up for possibly aquiring the eventual dub of Eureka 7 A.O.
Yes...because DMW and Eureka 7...have so much in common. I mean, what fan of horrible, dark, TV-MA shock violence and themes wouldn't be a fan of sickeningly sweet teenage romance? It fits perfectly together. It's like if they had Taylor Swift open up for Megadeth.
No but seriously, that is a horrible reason. I don't think even Kyo-ani fans would enjoy such whiplash, and they'll watch anything from Kyo-ani. I do hope it succeeds since I like Eureka 7 but it will solely because people who like good anime...will want to watch a good anime.
You're assuming that they won't like it just because it's cutesy instead of bloody? Just because someone likes a bloody show, doesn't mean they can't enjoy a cutesy one. I'm sure they'll be some who are turned off by the shift, but what we can hope is that most will find out they like it just as much, if not more.
I'm also saying that it's good for those who aren't huge anime fans (such as those who are watching it soley for the fact that it's Toonami, an action block they remember fondly from childhood. There's also some casual watchers, or people trying to get into anime, that happened to get caught up in the action and like the show, regardless of genre), who may not neccessarily know where to look next. They'll see the blatantly obvious similarity in art style, and'll stick around to try it out. Again, some won't like it, but we can hope that's the minority. It's also obvious that the show is more cutesy than DMW, but I think AS is possibly betting that they'll still check it out on the thought that "hey, even though that show is more cute than the one I just watched & enjoyed, it's made by the same people, so maybe I'll enjoy that too, even though it's different".
It's like someone playing a Mario game (and in addition to playing other Mario games), they decide to try out Zelda & Metroid, because they're made by the same company that made this other game they enjoyed. Yes, there will be those that don't like it, but some will. Everyone starts somewhere, whether it be playing a friend's 3DS, or passing by Toonami some Saturday night. One thing people will do when they find something they like, is see if whomever made it has made anything else, and will try it, even if it is different.
But no one outside of the most hardcore anime fans cares who animated it, do they? And even that's arguable, Gonzo animated FMP and Welcome to the NHK, the former of which is a beloved modern day mecha series, the latter one of the most praised anime of the past decade, and they're still considered a joke by most. Seriously, find me some people who are interested in this because it looks like DMW.
I've been watching the Persona 4 anime. I had seen a few episodes, thought it was cool how close it was to the game--but extremely boring because of that. I want to get P4 Arena soon and I figured the anime would be a good, quick way too refresh my memory on the story. I'm on episode 15, and I have to say episodes 12-14 were amazing. They gave development to Yu and showed both sides of the social link mechanic from the games--the ridiculousness of it, and the heartwarming pay off there can be if someone would really put in all that work in people. If you've played the games and have no interest in the anime, at least watch those episodes, they are fantastic.
I hope the rest is just as good!

started watching Acchi Kocchi, thanks @SMEXI and since I got into animal crossing again I ended up watching the movie, thanks @TheDreamingHawk because I didn't know they had a movie....other then that I can't find Sh!t.
YAYYYY! Acchi Kocchi was super cute. The anime style fit well with the characters and their voices and it was just bubbles of happiness and fun xD
Kinda like Lucky Star considering it had no real point to it, but it was better imo
Almost done reading xxxHolic too and I gotta say it is really good May even be better than Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
EDIT: Finished the series and the ending was wtf ;___; Still a great manga and worth the read though. Liked Tsubasa overall a little better
I would appreciate it if someone could recommend a manga series to me. I like them with romance in it, but it does not have to be romance based. Tsubasa had just enough in it tbh. Just looking for a good read

I haven't seen Shakugan no Shana III either Started watching Princess Lover! though and it is awesome. Nothing like a good romance harem anime every once and awhile @Dezner is the "uguu!" from your sig from the Ayu in Kanon?

God loves you
Any Avatar: The Last Airbender fans? I love the series to death.
I was wondering if anyone got on board with The Legend of Korra spin-off series. I didn't bother since I thought it would be too weird without all the original characters, but is it actually any good? Is the first season on Netflix so I could catch up, if I ended up wanting to watch it?

I watched the original series. It's not anime, but for an American cartoon, it imitated the style pretty good.
I'd actually watch the sequel, but we don't get Nicktoons anymore
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Korra is quite good, but because of the initial questionable future of the series (not any more, I've heard it's now getting three more seasons) it can feel pretty rushed. I miss the random, initially unimportant "filler" between the story stuff.

Yeah Avatar: The Last Airbender had so many fun episodes that were like not even essential to the story but just really developed the characters, that's how I fell in love with it. I was just worried since I love the original characters so much I wouldn't be able to like Legend of Korra,
