Since every cartoon thread Nintendolife has ever had has died I'm just going to ask this here.
What do you guys think of the Black Dynamite animated series so far?
It's alright. Certainly better than half the cr@p they think up (Loiter Squad, Eric Andre Show, Tim & Eric, Children's Hospital, Eagleheart, NTSF, Metalocolypse, and a couple dosen failed shows. I shudder at the thought 12. Ounce Mouse ever existed).
I think it's humor is a little "in your face", but that's probably on purpose. I'd put it on the same pedestal as some of my favorite AS shows like Venture Bros., Boondocks, Robot Chicken, and early ATHF, if only for the fact that they actually took the time to animate it well.

Finished all of deadman wonderland annd I must say...it was a waste of time, you did get some storyline but there was no ending so what happened to everyone, also it was really annoying how most of the prisoners were not the insane (theres 2 or 3 evil ones) but the people who run the place were freaking insane and evil(warden, nurse, guards, etc) and it seems the good people as prisoners, wish the whole place was nuked.Other then that I some how watched it all but didn't enjoy it.
I really enjoyed the series Trigun and the other day I discovered that they have a Trigun animated movie so I was wondering if anyone has seen this and is it as good as the series?

Apparently the Code Geass franchise isn't yet done. According to Imagine-Nation, Code Geass: Akito the Exiled is releasing soon in Japan.
Not sure if it's a TV series or movie though. They said it was a new series in the Code Geass story, but the animation quality just screams movie. They said it has four parts, so maybe it's an OVA.
Apparently, it takes place inbetween Code Geass, and Code Geass R2. It follows a Japanese native, Akito, and how he's part of a European defense against a Britannian invasion. The character is described as the opposite of Lelouche (he's very quiet & doesn't say much, and is very skilled at piloting Nightmare, while Lelouche was very eloquent with speech, but preferred a more behind the scenes approach to battle). Apparently, it will also shed more light on the original Britannian invasion of Japan.

Now that I've finished Ghost Hound (not sure if I'd call it great, but it was at least really good), I'm trying to decide whether I should watch Kids on the Slope or Basilisk next. Two very different shows, I know, but I have no genre or tonal preference at the moment.
I really enjoyed the series Trigun and the other day I discovered that they have a Trigun animated movie so I was wondering if anyone has seen this and is it as good as the series?
It essentially plays like an extended episode of the series (particularly the early-to-mid-portion, after Wolfwood started showing up but prior to the involvement of the Gung-Ho Guns) with much better animation, so if you enjoyed Trigun I don't see why you wouldn't enjoy Badlands Rumble. It was definitely something that was made for fans of the anime. Even the new voice actors do an admirable job of sounding close to the original English cast (Johnny Yong Bosch is back as Vash, but that's about it). Just be prepared to hear Wolfwood call Vash "needle-noggin'" about as many times over the course of the movie as he did during the entire run of the show.
@RR529 and @Mickeymac I haven't started Code Geass yet but I noticed that this new Code Geass OVA had started and it doesn't sound like the one you were talking about. It looks like a Code Geass version of Alice in wonderland.
I stopped watching at Battle Frontier. But I have seen a few episodes of the new Black & White anime. Honestly it's the worst the anime has gotten yet. Ash looks terrible. I miss his simple design so much. The battles are lack luster and Iris is incredibly annoying. That B/W2 animated trailer is 100x better than the current season.
I watched a few episodes. I'd actually say it's the best the series has been in a while, but that's not saying much. IMO, the show was never worth watching outside of the last few Gym battles and the Championships.
I stopped watching sometime after the Orange Islands. I honestly quit carring when Misty left the group. I think I had pretty much quit watching it by the time that happened, but I made a special point to watch that particular episode, and even that's been years ago now.

Lol Looks like we're on different sides when it comes to the newer season of Pokemon @Mickeymac. But I agree the show as a whole isn't worth watching outside the gym battles and championships any more. The gym battles were the only times I ever bothered to watch the D/P seasons.
Funimation uploaded Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror on youtube so im watching that, its a 3d anime movie with some 2d anime drawn backgrounds.
Bleach is finally out of that cr@ppy Zanpakuto rebellion filler arc, so it's actually decently watchable again.
Deadman Wonderland's finale was suitably bad@ss. It's just a shame that the manga (and thus the anime) has been put on hiatus. Hope it resumes soon, so they can finish it up.
Casshern Sins is on now.
Next week is the premier of Samurai 7, and they're also going to re air Eureka 7 (it's been a few years). Samurai 7 looks cool, and I enjoyed Eureka 7 (again, it's been a few years since I've seen it as well), so I can't wait!

I loved the Pokemon Advanced seasons. (Ruby / Sapphire / Emerald)
The new episodes aren't that bad. I think its fresh without Brock. Iris is no Misty, but she's better than Dawn I think. The battles seem to definitely be a lot less interesting than they used to be. Team Rocket is more serious now. A lot of things have changed.
Oh Eureka 7, awesome! That'd be fun to watch again. If I had cable television! Your Toonami posts always make me upset that I lost cable only a few days after Toonami came back. lol No big deal though. Always got good old Internet. I'm sure a certain user will be happy Eureka 7 is going to be back on air.
