No, it really doesn't. It says specifically on the box that it takes place after the end of Fullmetal Alchemist. Unless you're somehow thinking Brotherhood is the second season or something (I sincerely hope not), or you're talking about Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos (the second movie, which does take place somewhere around the end of the first season), you'll just be spoiling the rest of the show if you watch Conquerers of Shambala now.
To each his own, but it feels like you're skipping half a book to read the last chapter. And Shamballa is definitely an extended conclusion to the events of the original series.
Just finished Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle! Was totally awesome. Got more confusing than Inception for a little bit, but everything (mostly) made sense in the end I'd recommend reading it to anyone here I'll have to watch the anime now and see how it compares.

Ok so I already watched the first season, so what should I watch next?
...the second season of Fullmetal Alchemist? What's stopping you there?
well your saying this and that not making it clear and then you said [Unless you're somehow thinking Brotherhood is the second season or something (I sincerely hope not) ], don't really help.
Also people online say COF is what happens after the first season, others say botherhood is a alternate storyline while some say its the proper storyline, if only they could make up their minds.
[sup]your constant typos don't help either[sup]
So what you're saying is...you're confused? About what? What the second season is? I'm assuming you're talking about how the First DVD Boxsets were separated into two seasons, which consist of the first half of the show and the second half - 26 episodes each. Those are the ones I have and they even season "Season One/Season Two" on the box. I know you use netflix and I could've sworn the last time I looked at the Netflix streaming thing (granted this was a while ago) that was the format they used, too. It would be easier if I knew how many episodes you had actually watched.
A little while ago, though, I saw someone confuse FMA: Brotherhood as the second season of Fullmetal Alchemist, which shows that they did absolutely no research before watching a show (they had already finished FMA and was about to start Brotherhood, IIRC). I didn't know if maybe that was the case there.
EDIT: Just read your edit, and now I see that you are indeed thinking Brotherhood is a second season...it's not. It's a remake. Or rather, it's the Manga's storyline, which the first FMA didn't follow pretty much at all (well, it sort of follows it for the first 20 or so episodes and then veers way off course). Conquerers of Shamballa is the sequel that ends the non-manga storyline, so you may as well go watch that.
FMA is it's own series. FMA: Brotherhood is a different series more faithful to the manga. So the proper storyline as some people tell you. It is not the second season to FMA.
Just watched the trailer for the new DBZ movie. Based on the images so far, it seems like it might take place after (or during, ignoring canon) the Majin Buu saga. I guess it could be a condensed retelling of the Buu saga, but that seems unlikely (since they haven't done so for Frieza or Cell).
Of course, I don't understand Japanese, so they could have said, and I'd have no idea, lol.

Just read the article. It seems like Toriyama is deeply involved with it, so it looks like it's going to be canon (and thus better than anything in GT, ).

Well, finished [C]. (Way too lazy to type out the whole name.) The anime definitely started out strong, but it only went down hill as the show kept going. The concept was great, but the execution was on the poor side, IMO. Honestly without spoiling anything the ending was ok at best for me. It's only 11 episodes so for the limit they had it was pretty good. I just wish it could have been longer to explain the story more. It was basically Digimon, but with the Japanese economy. The battles weren't great either since they're not what the anime focuses on. Overall [C] was fun, but was building up for a much better conclusion and the ending we actually got felt forced.
Alright, next up Shakugan no Shana lll. The final season. I'm so excited to see this.
So anyone want to help explain the ending to Evangelion to me. I havent watched End of Evangelion yet but the main series gets pretty weird toward the end with the commentary on proving why one exists. I get that the creator going through depression issues but man it makes aloft of the characters unlikable.
