One Piece Season 4: Voyage One comes out next week! Yay!
Finally! I've been waiting forever...and am kinda dissappointed I didn't buy anything else in the meanwhile (would have been a great time to start FMA: Brotherhood).
Finished chapter 5 of Rurouni Kenshin. Just as good as the anime (if a tad bit more bloody).
you're gonna be so confused when the earlier stories sometimes last longer than 2 chapters considering how long they lasted in the anime (I certainly was)
To anyone with instant Netflix and a few hours to kill this evening, I highly recommend running through Now and Then, Here and There if you haven't seen it yet, since it's getting pulled out of the streaming rotation tomorrow. It's an intelligent (and short) show that tackles some really dark and heavy themes, while still trying to send out a positive message and being an accessible watch. My only real qualm with it was that most of the English voice acting hasn't held up all that well.
It's been confirmed that Samurai 7 will premiere on Toonami on August 18. It will be replacing Deadman Wonderland, which is ending it's run soon.
I'm on my 3DS, so I can't post a link, but a quick trip to the Adult Swim website shows it on the schedule, and Jason DeMarco (or AS) has confirmed it on Twitter.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I've been told Casshern Sins has had dissappointing ratings for being "dialogue heavy". By dialogue heavy I guess they mean "about as much as every anime ever"

My guess is it'll get replaced right away by a very battle heavy anime.

so either a very well animated 26 or shorter series...or nothing. It could be nothing.
yeah seriously, Casshern Sins has the exact same amount of action as most action anime. Because most action anime, in reality, are 2 minutes of fighting (or worse, 2 minutes of original animation at most for fighting), and the rest is talking or padding. At least most action anime that ever get remotely popular over here.
Has anyone here watched Ghost Hound? I watched the first eight episodes on Netflix yesterday, and I'm really digging the show's atmospheric and somewhat subdued approach. The designs for the characters' spirit realm bodies look pretty goofy, though.

That's a nice choice, Samurai 7's a really good action show. The original Kurosawa movie is better though.
Minor Bakuman spoilers
I finished season 2 of Bakuman last night. Now to wait for season 3 which starts in the Autumn. Both series were 25 episodes long and people that have read all of the manga think its unlikely that another 25 episodes will finish the series and predict that there will be a fourth. I know that there are some people here that only read the manga and so that you know how far I am, the last episode of season 2 had Hattori informing Ashirogi muto of the results from the issue that had the first chapter of PCP competing with Fukuda's one shot. The second to last episode of the series had Azuki singing Merry christmas and for the most part her voice actor was really good at singing in English, she just had trouble with the word year and said "and a happy new ee" instead of year. Both series were great but I think series 2 was better and I look forward to the third series.
