Topic: Anime & Manga (NO SPOILERS PLEASE)

well I didnt watch demon lord dante(might watch it),but I did just finished watching The Money of Soul and Possibility Control,its like pokemon in a way when in the battles and its about when Japans economy is low so people go into a different world to earn money MAYBE A SPOILER but if one loses to much money they get bankrupt and their life changes for the worse.

@Undead_terror How long is the series? I watched 3 episodes than never continued it. I thought it was interesting too.

Meh I'm a robotech fan.

I prefer Robotech, too, but Do You Remember Love is pretty good on its own.

Just watched an hour long Imagine-Nation special. They were at the 2012 Anime Expo in L.A.

There were lots of cosplayers (a couple Links, some Naruto characters, Bleach captains, and a bunch of Adventure Time stuff for some reason...).

They talked quite a bit about Madoka Magica, a series you guys talk a lot about

They talked about a new mech series, Total Eclipse.

They talked about PES, which is a collaboration between Toyota and Studio 4ºC.

There was also an anime based off of a card game (a traditional one, though not Hanafuda).

They showed Dragon Ball Z Kinect.

They visited the HQ of Crunchyroll, and interviewed their CEO (there was a Ryo-Ohki plush in his office ).

They visited the HQ of VIZ (lots of Dragonball, InuYasha, Naruto, and One Piece in this segment).

They then visited a bunch of anime/manga bookstores and figure shops, which are US branches of popular shops in Japan.

Ooh, what they say? I'm, like, they only one on any of my forums watching it, so I wanna know what other people have said about it.

What's Madoka Magica? A friend was trying to tell me about it once and I just zoned out. All I caught was magical girl and deconstruction...

I heard it's a Magical Girl Deconstruction. All I remember is that the first two episodes were effing trippy. I still gotta go finish it. I think it's all on Crunchyroll. Get it while it's hot.

As for Total Eclipse, they just talked about the general plot. Aliens (kind of look like giant insects) with a taste for human flesh invade, so the nations of Earth team up to combat the threat. The female lead is Japanese, and the male lead is of American & Japanese blood, and has animosity against Japan, because his father (Japanese) left him (at least that's the way he sees it). They showed some clips, but they weren't subtitled, so I didn't understand a thing, lol (looked pretty awesome though).

As for Madoka Magica, it's a magical girl show, but apparently gets really dark (they said it was the most popular show at the event).

I've heard it called the Evangelion of Magical Girl shows. That's an insult as far as I'm concerned.

Be warned, Madoka has horror elements (which makes sense, they were practically asking for it when they hired a horror writer to make a Magical Girl show...).

I'm almost done with the Kingdom Hearts manga, and it's ending up pretty terrible.

SPOILERS. So far, all of the key battles in Hallow Bastion have been removed. During the first confrontation with Riku (when Sora reclaims the Keyblade, Donald, and Goofy), He just runs away instead of fighting Sora. Both Maleficent encounters are gone (Riku/Ansem opens her heart to darkness before Sora & co. meet her, and she just vanishes into the darkness instead of turning into her dragon form). They even removed the Sora & Ansem/Riku fight (instead of freeing Kairi's heart after beating Ansem/Riku, Ansem/Riku simply convinces Sora to do so, knowing that the final keyhole will open).

SPOILERS END.

Huh? NGE got a little wierd there at the end, that's for sure, but it was pretty good overall, IMO (Note: I haven't seen any of the movies, though).

Also just finished the Kingdom Hearts manga. Ended up being a very underwhelming adaptation, IMO.

SPOILERS. They never even fought Ansem for Pete's sake! Ansem & Sora just made their big talking points (true to the game's dialogue), and then Ansem got consumed by light. Not a single weapon was ever drawn. SPOILERS END.

Toonami was pretty good tonight.

Bleach is... well Bleach, but at least it was new. Another fantastic episode of Deadman Wonderland (sad that it's going to be ending soon). Casshern Sins is actually starting to get interesting. Tonight's episode of Bebop was the one where Faye & Edward left the crew (always an emotional episode for me).

Tom's inspirational speach, about getting up no matter how many times life knocks you down, was cool. Reminded me of the old days where Toonami would have promos like it.

Also, on the AS Boards, I guess it's been going around that Jason DeMarco (the one in charge of Toonami) Tweeted that 5 "things" are comming soon for Toonami. That doesn't necessarily mean a new show, but that's obviously not out of the question (other guesses include the return of Sara, more game reviews, or even just an updated line-up featuring different anime in AS's stable, since GitS had it's final ep tonight, and Bebop's finishing up soon).
