Can anyone recommend some manga series that are appropriate for a 10 year old that are released in English volumes? My brother liked the Megaman manga series and The Legend of Zelda one as well as Hikaru no Go. He's having trouble finding some as they are all ages 13+ and inappropriate xD He's reading Bakuman, but then I remembered the one volume where that girl is drawing panty shots in her manga to make it more popular and though that wouldn't be right for him to read that... Any help would be appreciated! ^___^

@SMEXI Hm, 10 year old appropriate mangas? Well after looking through my shelf all I could find was Card Captor Sakura. XD I don't know how much your brother would enjoy a magical girl manga series. Despite it's girly themes at times I ended up loving it, so I'd suggest checking it out first.
Card Captor Sakura actually has some risque themes...
@SMEXI - Um, good question...manga generally have an older demographic than even anime. I can't think of too many good ones for that age. Even the manga versions of shows I watched as a kid were more explicit. Even the manga adaption of Gundam added a bunch of cuss words, and the last volume was never released in the US. One Piece occasionally has gallons of blood.
I decided to look it up, and Shaman King keeps coming up, but even that can be really gorey at times, what with the doctor who occasionally operates on himself (I believe a user here pointed out how much they kiddified the Anime adaption).
There are plenty of age-appropriate sports manga, though. I wouldn't know any to recommend, though. Slam Dunk comes to mind, but I don't think that's as Age appropriate as I'm expecting...
EDIT: Ah well, I found a couple that might be worth looking into:
Toriko (Shonen action manga featuring cooking. It's better than it sounds)
Rurouni Kenshin (It's about a Samurai who never kills. I'd be extremely surprised if it turned out this wasn't kid friendly)
Knights of the Zodiac (It's a bit like the Power Rangers, but a little more advanced and actually has some story)
BTW, a rec for SMEXI - Viz has the Maison Ikkoku manga. I suggest giving that a read if you can find it.

Try finding something by Norifusa Mita. He's famous in Japan for making various manga about high school baseball. I don't know too much about any of his particular works, so if you can find one in english, I'd suggest reading it first before giving it to him, but from what I've seen, they all seem pretty age appropriate.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
^I very much recall a lot of explicit stuff in Dragon Ball when I watched the anime as kid, mostly nudity and stuff. I suppose considering its length, those were few and far between, but still...
Yeah, even after looking beyond my collection it's kind of hard to find a genuinely kid friendly manga. Not too surprising I guess since many manga have more explicit stuff than their anime counterpart.
Anyone mind recommending me an anime to watch? I feel bad asking that for some reason, lol. Otherwise it's back to Fairy Tail. Which I left around the 60's. I love some action but I also enjoy slice of lives and I'd really prefer the series to have a bearable story.
How's the Ultimo manga been doing since Jump dropped it, btw?

Depends on what you mean by bearable. If you mean less of a story, then I'd second Sgt. Frog and throw in GaoGaiGar. If you mean something less over-the-top, then...I can't think of anything at the moment. Besides Mecha, of course. Proper Mecha usually isn't that over-the-top, though a lot of recent shows tend to push or even abandon believability all together...

They dropped it? Seems like the latest volume's coming out in less than 2 weeks.
I'm genuinely surprised Ultimo wasn't dropped because I can't remember when the last time a volume was released. Maybe it's because I'm comparing it to the rapid fire Bakuman releases I dunno.
Ultimo is pretty flawed but wins major bonus points for having a lot of cool concepts thrown in fairly frequently so that it's kept fresh. It's an interesting series but I hope it can get me to care more about the characters beyond "mildly interesting" at some point.

Thanks Mickey, you are always a big help I'll have to check out that Maison Ikkoku. Now to try to navigate the labyrinth that is my local library website xD
Also, thanks to everyone else who replied too. I'll have to pass my brother these recommendations
Edit: @Mickeymac Just finished Ano Natsu de Matteru, man ;___; Thanks for recommending it to me I looove~ stories like this. I was in tears at the end and, dood, I loved it I like watching romance anime because it's easy to understand the characters and how they feel because love is such a human emotion that it never fails to bring me to tears at the end of a good series Had a happy part at the end too which is always good. Thanks Mickeymac, I love you, dood
I recently saw episode 11 of Sgt. frog and I've been enjoying it a lot overall but the last two episodes weren't so good. The cavitians one was okay but not as good as some previous episodes and episode 11 which had those celebrity aliens felt really cliche to me and was probably the worst one yet. Not that this had much of an impact on the episode but the space police girl or whatever she was had the voice of a little kid. As for the two most recently added main characters, I like Angol Mois, she's pretty funny and I like her "Armageddon" thing too but I find Kululu's voice and laugh annoying but due to how fitting they are for him, I've started to get used to him quickly.
@SMEXI No problem, dood. And if you like Maison Ikkoku, I got a few more I could possibly throw in. For instance, I just started watching Kimagure Orange Road, and it's off to a fantastic start. I might actually go a long way with it despite it being a romance.
