Why did you never think you'd see the day where something popular from the 80s or 90s was remade? That happens probably literally every week.
[/div]
They already announced it for worldwide release. I never thought I'd see the day that Sailor Moon would be in the US again.
...that kinda makes sense. Not that Sailor Moon isn't still popular enough for it to automatically not be a problem, but that I don't trust executives allowing it to be successful after CN in recent years.
Oh my gosh. ... I don't even like Sailor Moon and this is just. Wow.
Same, if only because it appears to be following the manga version more closely. Maybe this time it'll have more of a cohesive story instead of the same monster of the week formula for well over 200 episodes.
I mean, it better have an actual story this time, since that would be the only way it could one-up the multitude of series that have replaced and surpassed it, including but not limited to the Pretty Cure series, Shugo Chara, and Lyrical Nanoha (especially the movies).
Endless eight has infected my computer!!! I found this bookmarked on my laptop and I don't even remember seeing it, let alone favouriting it. There are better Endless eight jokes anyway.
Just picked up the Yu Yu Hakusho First Battles Uncut set brand-spanking new for 6 bucks, along with the cut DVD of the next 3 episodes. Starting now!

Recently sat down and watched Fruits Basket.I dont know why but i did.The manga are better in the detail department.
This.
Also, I can't believe I just sat through 2 SEASONS! TWO WHOLE SEASONS! of Rosario + Vampire over the course of 2-3 weeks.
I can't believe I'm about to say this, but there can be TOO MUCH FANSERVICE sometimes...
and that's all I will talk about on the matter.
Looking through Netflix for some new anime right now, about half way through the 1st episode of Gurren Laggen (did I spell that right?)
My friend started watching the series after he found the infamous "When I'm Bored" YouTube video, and I was so sick of his "persuasive" methods that I decided to sit down and start watching Gurren Laggen. Not bad so far... shows promise.
@Bobhobob You haven't seen the legendary Gurren Lagann yet? Glad you started. Might take that bad taste out of your mouth (seriously, how the hell did you put up with R+V for more than 5 minutes, let alone two whole seasons?) and maybe even give you a new fave.
Rosario+ Vampire is fanservice to the Max. It gets annoying because while I like the show the fanservice mode it somewhat embarssing to watch. Also hated the lack of focus in season 2.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
@Sony_70
I read the manga it's completely different it focuses way more on action and story and the fan service is kept to a minimum also the manga doesn't do panty shots. It's WAY better. Also I've never seem the show but I have been told about it but you guys make it sound pretty awful.
I just saw the opening to an anime where a cleverly-censored naked man soars through the air on angel wings that sprout from his crotch, with the most boss expression on his face imaginable. (And later in the same opening, an angel fires a bunch of arrows at his crotch, and an explosion of nuclear proportions occurs, with the shockwave-on-the-house shot and everything) My life has officially been fulfilled.
On the negative side of things, I just found out that Higurashi is basically an orgy of bloody violence - pretty much the opposite of what I was expecting. This is a disappointment of the highest order, especially after falling in love with the first episode of Rei - right up there with finding out Baccano! was a confusing mess.
Anyway, I'm loving Pandora hearts. All three of the main characters are likable and have depth to them. Break is also an awesome character. At times he's very sinister and at other times he's hilarious. He might even be the funniest character in an anime that isn't mainly a comedy that I've seen.
Also, I'm glad KKslider recommended me which Naruto fillers to watch after the point where they all become fillers as it means I skip a lot of unnecessary episodes and some of the fillers he recommended have been really good for filler arcs so far.
That was...a pretty bad trailer (I still don't have a clue what the story's about).
I'm watching a much better mecha show, anyways. It's Fang of the Sun Dougram, and so far it's been great. 9 episodes in and there's been a lot of good action featuring a large mix of ground and air vehicles, as well as a lot of foot soldier combat; a good set up for a potentially great plot with loads of political intrigue; and some really natural characters (even the side characters play their parts well, if you know what I mean) with a few standouts already, including the lead man. My only complaints are that the old school animation is somewhat inconsistant, and that it's been pretty slow to start. Really, I'm on episode 9 and we're just seeing the Dougram. It's not that bad though - it never feels like nothing's happening and there's always some conflict and story progression going on (unlike, say, Eureka Seven).
I'll let you guys know how it goes. I've heard very good things about this so far, some people even putting it in the same league as the old school Gundams. I never expected it to, but so far, it seems like it could actually live up to those expectations. That's pretty good, since as far as I can tell, this is Ryosuke Takahashi's first work as a director, and out of the ones I've seen, this is already one of his best. Would be interesting if it turns out that he made a masterpiece on his first try.
