Finished reading vol. 1 of Toradora and I really enjoyed it. Over all it's kind of slow, but when a comedic moment comes up it's really funny. I don't really care for Tsunderes a lot, but Aisaka is a cool character. Does anyone know if the anime is pretty much the same as the manga, or completely different? If it's the same I'd love to continue the series. I can see myself enjoying it till the end.
Edit: Totally forgot! I saw the first episode of Gun Slinger Girl months ago. I thought it was interesting, but I couldn't bring myself to watch more. Is it worth it?
Have any of you heard of Shigeru Tsuchiyama? I guess he was supposedly famous for making manga about the criminal underworld, but now makes manga about food.
He has one called Gokudo Meshi, which is about prisoners remembering all the foods they used to eat. I guess it's really popular in Japan, and they've even made a live action adaptation of it.

Just read the first two chapters of the Kingdom Hearts manga. Even though I've watched a lot of anime, I've never read any manga before, so I figured I'd start with something simple (well, I actually read Dragonball a couple years ago, but that's it. I tried reading Rurouni Kenshin and Ikki Tousen awhile back, but I got distracted by something else each time).

It's pretty much the same as the anime, but it's sooooooooooo much better to see it in motion and hear the voices (Yui Horie as Minorin FTW) Get to watching the series, post-haste!
I got a lot of anime on my "to watch" list, several of which are ones I should really finish. I should see if I can come up with 6 and role some dice.

I've only heard that it's great in its first season, then falls flat on its face in the second season.
It really does. It gains momentum for at least the first two seasons, with the only dips being the Momaka episodes (which may just be me, actually. I hate love-obsessed characters). I hear the 3rd season is even better. I really should get to watching that.
Ugh, I hate that too. Are there a lot of those episodes?
I don't think so. Only about 2-3 a season, I think. And even those get better as they go. I've never actually felt the urge to skip them, either.
EDIT: I just checked. It's 3 full episodes in the first season, 3 half episodes in the second, and 1 full episode in the third season. I'm guessing they aren't popular episodes.
I've only seen the first Momaka episode and I actually found it quite funny, mainly because of her sudden bursts of rage but some of the other episodes that I saw recently were better.
I think Momoka is kinda funny (if only for just how ridiculously over-the-top her "love" is), but she works better as a goofy side character rather than the focus. Her gimmick can wear really thin when she gets too much screen time.
Natsumi is the one that usually does nothing for me. She has her episodes (like the one when they went to the beach and was hit with the old-man-speak/cursing ray), but most of the time she comes off as a humorless shrew to me.
After a mini-marathon, I finished Kurokami: The Animation. My feelings of the series are almost identical to Bleach; it starts off good, has an extremely good second ark, and afterwards essentially flails stuff around until its ultimate conclusion. It's quite sad too, as the second of the three arks is by far the best and the series should have ended there. I also found the main villains heel turn to be poorly executed to the fourth degree. However, I've heard the show had many changes during the transition from manga to anime, so I might pick up the manga and see if it captures my attention and resolves some of the problems I had with the show.

Just finished chapter 8 of the Kingdom Hearts manga. Chapters are pretty short, lol (usually 8 pages, with an occasionally 16 page one thrown in).
SPOILER. It just finished up the Traverse Town segment (the adventure's about to really begin). there are some differences, like a woman who tries to hit on Sora in Traverse Town, or the very occasional cuss (that might be because it's probably a fan sub, since I'm reading it online), but it's pretty much an overview of the game's main points. END SPOILERS.
I know that a spoiler warning for KH isn't really neccessary, but oh well.

Finally started the third season of Sgt. Frog. First episode is a little shakey, but the episode after was really good. Watched it twice, actually. The third episode was really grating at first, but only because I dislike fake detective stuff. The second half was better at least, but not by much. I hope it's just because it's the first part of the second Japanese season where they're reintroducing all the characters again, and we see more greatness like episode 53.

I really like Natsumi, she was especially awesome when she leekspinned her way through Girororo's explosives and proceeded to deal with him in that way too.

Lol, the KH 2 Manga was the first time I actually got into Manga... I remember getting it like it was yesterday...
Makes up for the fact I haven't played the 1st or 2nd game... well, a little bit. Still bummed they never released any volume past KH2 Volume 2 here...

Aw man, haven't watched Sgt. Frog in awhile. I think that anime is to only relieve stress you see from Action oriented animes.
