Me while watching Pandora hearts: "Nooo! Don't end the episode there!" "Aw, what the hell? Why would you show those in the preview? Now the cliffhanger is completely ruined!" I really liked the previews at the end of each episode in Pandora hearts as the text that appeared along with the scenes being shown helped add suspense but I'm not watching the previews in Pandora hearts after that! It really is an excellent anime though.
Just finished reading vol. 6 of Bakuman! That was great. Finally got to read 5 and 6 over the weekend. I really love the story. It's well done. Vol. 6 kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, really impressed as it's not sme sort of detective anime or action anime where a main character is in danger of dying. Not that a manga or anime has to be one of those two to keep my excited. I love the characters. That has to be the main thing that keeps me interested the most in the manga. They're all well done. (SPOILERS from this point.!!!) When Nizuma was first introduced way back I thought he was going to be another run of the mil tough guy rival who hates his rival yet doesn't harm him for what ever reason blah blah generic same old, but no. He's unique and pretty much does the opposite of what I expected. Especially in vol. 6 where he and the other artists go so out of their way to try and help ashirogi. Every character is pretty much lovable too. The art is fantastic also. Love this series.
@Retro_on_thego It just keeps getting better after that. I'm not that far in the manga but I'm further in the anime and I can tell where you are from what you said. Who's your favourite character? Mine is Fukuda.
@FonistofCruxis It's tough picking a favorite character, but if I had to it'd probably be a tie between Nizuma and Mashiro. Love their designs and personality. Meh, I guess I'd say my favorite character is Nizuma. He's so hilarious and unique. How's the anime for Bakuman? Is it just the same thing animated?
@Retron_on_thego Yeah, its pretty much the same unless they change things up later on because as I said I haven't read much of the manga. There have been 2 series with 25 episodes each and the last episode I saw was episode 17 of series 2. It seems far from finished though so there will probably be a third series at some point. There are some really funny expressions in the anime too.
That would be so messed up, yet totally awesome. Still, I feel it's unlikely like you say, but this is Japan, so you never know (I mean come on, there was a recent 3DS title called "If I was sealed in a room with a girl I'd like to XXX", so anything's possible, lol).

finished Hellsing. decent enough, kind of a non-ending which isn't surprising for a half-season show but still disappointing. anyone seen the OVA (Ultimate) and have an opinion?
also, i caught a trailer for Ai Yori Aoshi. Anyone seen that? I'm considering getting it when it re-releases in July on dvd (NA) or at least watching a few episodes on FUNimation's site.

I got this from Wikipedia, so it should be taken with a grain of salt, but they're pretty confident that Adult Swim will premier Casshern Sins & Deadman Wonderland on the new Toonami brand.
I've honestly never heard of these shows until now. Does anyone know if they're good?

Casshern Sins is depressing as hell, but the great characters, post-apocalyptic story and HAUNTINGLY fitting music makes the entire show well worth your time. It's on my to-buy list!
Just make sure you can get past the '70's looking character design, and you'll be fine!

Durarara is pretty awesome and Kekkaishi was okay, but it's going to be nice not to have nothing but reruns on adult swim(now Toonami)'s Saturday block again. Hopefully I end up liking Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins (although if I like them enough, I'll probably just jump ahead to the subs on Hulu ).
Oh, and SPOILER (I guess) seeing Duval try to wink in One Piece makes me laugh. Every. Single. Time.
Plugged through Darker Than Black's second series (Gemini of the Meteor) and OVA. General consensus says that series 2 isn't as good as the first series, which I can sort of agree with. Still loved it though. I actually kind of liked that they went for a somewhat different approach, telling one long story (rather than several over pairs of episodes with an underlying structure) over 12 episodes with a new main character taking the limelight, arguably pushing Hei into supporting cast territory. It felt really different particularly because loved characters were missing, but that suited the tone really well - I wanted to see more of Yin, Huang and Mao, and their absence made it feel like something big and important had been removed... but that's exactly how Hei feels too and why he's turned to drowning his sorrows, so it makes feelings of empathy towards him that bit deeper. We all miss grouchy Huang. The OVA was pretty good too, nice way to bridge the gap between the two series, particularly if you watched season 2 first and (like me) were still in the dark about a few key points.
Only thing that bugged me about season two was Suo's Semi-Silhouette Nekkid Tiem Go Go Gadget Tank Gun stock animation that played out, in full 15-second glory, about once every episode. And always at points where it broke flow really badly, like in the middle of an action scene.
(Aware of the inaccuracy in the second paragraph, but trying to avoid spoilers. Also, that Youtube link could be considered a bit spoilerish, so mind out for that)
I haven't seen it myself, but Ultimate's supposed to be really good. Plus, you can almost always count on ova sequels to be great.
I finished watching the main series today and have watched two OVA's so far. In my opinion, they're better than the main series. More details, more action, more story and more gore.

I watched Inuyasha: The Final Act on hulu last week and really enjoyed it, even if the last battle wasn't that satisfying. Hearing Usopp and Brook's voices coming from Inuyasha and Jaken amused me to no end. I now internally refer to it as "Usoyasha"...
Also, I've been hopping around both Naruto series, watching episodes that I found enjoyable (most of them featuring the Konoha 11 (mostly Rock Lee)). Shippuuden's "Leaf History" fillers were pretty good, especially since they were mostly narrated from one of the Konoha 11's perspectives. Also, I keep going back to re-watch episodes of Rock Lee's spin-off, which amuse me every single time. The ending theme is one that I can't skip over, either; it's so damn catchy...
"Don't make enemies, they'll stab your heart; don't make friends, they'll stab your back. Including me, including you, all men are trash. Don't love; don't be loved. Have nothing to do with other; live in isolation."
I've been watching Gintama a lot lately. I'm now on episode 114. The humor is good and I found Gintoki to be a character I really like, mostly because he seems a kind of guy I could get along with well. Also, even though there is a lot of toilet humor I find it to be quite funny. One of my favorite episodes actually takes place in toilet. And the fighting scenes are also quite well done, I however enjoy humoristic episodes more.
Its just that Gintama has so many episodes, by far the longest anime I have ever watched. I still have about 140 episodes to go. Hopefully this series stays as crazy as it is now.
Does anyone know of any anime that have a more traditional Japanese flavor, like Rurouni Kenshin, InuYasha (Final Act), Kekkaishi, Tenchi Muyo, or the Ninja Scroll movie?
I tend to like anime more when they create it's world around traditional Japanese culture, but most anime I've seen (especially newer stuff) are based around western fantasy or culture.
