Lol One Piece doesn't even look like One Piece anymore, let alone many other manga/anime.
None of those look the same, IMO. Outside of Fairy Tail looking like One Piece, and some lesser shows looking like copies of eachother, I can't think of many shounen that look alike, out of the dozen or so I've seen. Most tend to be pretty distict, even ones where the art style is the only thing distict about them.
Question does manga have any jump on points as I want to start one piece but ot would be a trek to go through all of it. (I don't mind though)
Not really. That's my biggest problem with Manga. Even One Piece is too story centric and references earlier parts of the story pretty frequently. I tried skipping around, and while it was cool, I had trouble following it, so I just started from the beginning. If you can get to the Alabasta Arc, you'll likely be hooked, though.
Question, guys and gals, from a relative newcomer to anime. What other series are there that are like Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt? Especially since a season 2 is doubtful (effing Gainax trolls...), and after a while it gets old watching the same 13 episodes (or you could say 20-something episodes, since most episodes came in 2 parts).
The series as a whole is one of the craziest, most hilarious things I've seen in my life (I love "Inner Brief" and "Nothing to Room" especially, ROTFLMAO). It's made the painful wait for season 3 of "That Tiny Equine Cartoon" easier, but those 13 episodes didn't last long. I'm an anime noob, but if this is exemplary of what is in the world of anime, I'm going to be getting better acquainted! Any other Anarchy Panty & Anarchy Stocking fans here? Oh, one of my favorite, more safe-for-Nintendo-Life scenes... There is cussing at the end of this, and cruelty to poor, poor Chuck, who takes so much unnecessary abuse... DIETO!!!!!!!!!

Hhaha, I saw a pony version of that. As for shows like it, it's kind of unique. I'm sure other users may be able to recommended you something, but I don't know.
...I'm pretty sure PSG is one of a kind. Dead Leaves seems to be highly recommend on MAL. It's a movie, though, and not very long IIRC.
Cool, I'll give Dead Leaves a try! I was kind of afraid that PSG might be a unique thing. Figures I'd find something I love that will likely not get a season 2, on top of losing House, CSI: Miami, and Desperate Housewives after this season.
@Retro I know, I've seen it, hee hee. I need to go over to the thread to say hi and post it. The "Peekaboo" gets me every time, LOL!!!
So did the Tegami Bachi anime ever get good? I lost interest. Tis a shame since I really really liked how unique it was.
Finished watching episode 6 of Gurren Lagann! That was awesome. At first, while I did like it a lot, I kind of felt like Gurren Laggan wasn't living up to all the things people told me about it, but now it's really starting to get good. This episode was hilarious, fast paced, over all just entertaining. Starting to like it more now. Really really enjoyed Kamina's explanation of why our eyes are in the front. "... If your eyes were in the back you'd just see your village getting farther and farther away."
Another Edit even though I didn't specify the first one: Maybe it's just me, because I love the game's OST, but I swear some background songs from Gurren Lagann sounds JUST like songs from Kid Icarus: Uprising. Specifically the songs you hear during the (SPOILER) Aurum Arc.
Man, I've been re-watching Naruto episodes and it's amazing to see just how much the story has declined in recent years. I miss the days when Lee humiliated sasuke with nothing but taijutsu and the only one who could use Mokuton was the First Hokage. Ah, those were simpler times, back when the only BS ability the sharingan had was copying jutsu and the Byakugan was the superior Kekkei Genkai. Nowadays, anything you can think of (or, more specifically, that Kishimoto can think of), the sharingan can do. I hope that now that the latest sharinghax is over with, we can finally see what's going on with the war once again...
@Retro: Regarding that, yes, I'm afraid so. Still, the way it happens is pretty boss...
"Don't make enemies, they'll stab your heart; don't make friends, they'll stab your back. Including me, including you, all men are trash. Don't love; don't be loved. Have nothing to do with other; live in isolation."
Because it could very well be the last time AS shows it, I decided to watch (and really pay attention to) Durarara!!, and it actually wasn't half bad. The whole street gang concept seemed fresh in comparison to the more fantastic fare you usually see in anime (although the headless biker with magical shadow powers seemed way out of place in the otherwise normal world). If I ever get a new iPod (or some other tablet), I'll be sure to check it out online.
Now I'm off to watch Kekkaishi, because it too could be taken off AS. Well that, and the fact that I actually already like it (bring it haters, lol).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

I would like to point out...perhaps again I can't remember...that I was on Viz's Naruto forums for a very brief time. And during that time a lot of people, on the Naruto forums agreed Naruto peaked way, way too early and One Piece has completely surpassed it.
