I basically feel the same way about Dokura-Chan. As for dance in the vampire bind I can see why people would think it's gross, but throw up worthy? Alright.
@dark-insanity I remember seeing that video in the suggested videos section on youtube, wondering what it was and thinking "What the hell did I just watch" afterwards but I looked up Bludgeoning angel Dokuro chan afterwards so that I knew what was going on in that clip.

To be fair, I have the same reaction to every fanservice boy-fantasy show.
Forgot to post my weekly "I haven't seen Gurren Laggan yet!" -_- Every time I try to sit down and watch it something distracts me! This week it was eBay and Pokemon Snap. Luckily this week I have a four and a half day break from school, so I literally have no excuses not to watch it this Thursday. I hope.

my reaction is wanting to punch everyone who watches them while simultaneously slamming my head on the wall.
Of course not. Those were terrible shows throughout with incredibly obnoxious stories, but then again, I think it's damn near impossible for a show like those to even have decent stories. I hated all the characters in Rosario, too.

Are there any sort of slice of life/drama animes. Like an animeversikn of something like gossip girl or one tree hill?
Pretty much 50% of every anime produced in the last 5 years is a slice of life show. Don't know much about drama, though. Usually they're just fluff.
Generally speaking, fan-service does nothing for me unless it's used to cause humorous reactions from the other characters (like, say, Sanji in One Piece), but used in the wrong context (or if it's just plain over-used), it can really damage my opinion of a show.
I thought Highschool of the Dead's insistence on fan-service, in particular, totally undermined a lot of the dark and interesting things going on in the story and, especially, the more legitimate sexual tension some of the characters were dealing with.

Yep, and that's why it actually works in that show.
