Finished dance at the vampire bind and close to finishing Rosario + Vampire.

Congratulations, you just finished the first two anime that ever succeeded in making me throw up.

@dark-insanity I remember seeing that video in the suggested videos section on youtube, wondering what it was and thinking "What the hell did I just watch" afterwards but I looked up Bludgeoning angel Dokuro chan afterwards so that I knew what was going on in that clip.

Dokura Chan is pretty funny in short bursts, but I could never get myself to watch more than 5 minutes of it at a time. It's just too overbearing.

What why? Because its look and moe?

I do hate all the fan service. But then again

And bund has the creepy weird pusedo peri thing going on as a plot device.

Just read the ending of Bakuman today...

Picked it up in SJA, so I don't know 4/5 of the story, but still, it was touching.

I basically feel the same way about Dokura-Chan. As for dance in the vampire bind I can see why people would think it's gross, but throw up worthy? Alright.

To be fair, I have the same reaction to every fanservice boy-fantasy show.

my reaction is wanting to punch everyone who watches them while simultaneously slamming my head on the wall.

Is the Fan service the only thing bad? Don't watch too much anime so don't really care about the hats that moe and loli gets.

Are there any sort of slice of life/drama animes. Like an animeversikn of something like gossip girl or one tree hill?

Of course not. Those were terrible shows throughout with incredibly obnoxious stories, but then again, I think it's damn near impossible for a show like those to even have decent stories. I hated all the characters in Rosario, too.

Pretty much 50% of every anime produced in the last 5 years is a slice of life show. Don't know much about drama, though. Usually they're just fluff.

Generally speaking, fan-service does nothing for me unless it's used to cause humorous reactions from the other characters (like, say, Sanji in One Piece), but used in the wrong context (or if it's just plain over-used), it can really damage my opinion of a show.

I thought Highschool of the Dead's insistence on fan-service, in particular, totally undermined a lot of the dark and interesting things going on in the story and, especially, the more legitimate sexual tension some of the characters were dealing with.

I don't know how they specifically compare to those shows, but both BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad and Usagi(Bunny) Drop are amazing slice-of-life series, imo.

Yep, and that's why it actually works in that show.
