Wow, I never noticed that One Piece had last names first. XD They sound so perfect the way they are, I never questioned it.

Bubblegum Crisis has the worst voice acting I've ever heard, and unfortunately, Hulu only has it dubbed. Shame, since it's a very good show otherwise, I ended up having to get the DVD set, which is kind of expensive right now. I suggest watching Macross if you can. It's great, especially the last 10 or so episodes.
Ulala has apparenly time traveled from 2004. Maybe we should tell her to warn New Orleans.
Oh 2004 how I miss you. Indy Rock was ruling the world, I still had something resembling a life, Valve and Bungie had just released their FPS masterpieces and anime was still on American television beyond AS.
I just want to point out that this post was pure gold. I can't believe I missed it before.
the irony is that I basically ripped this joke off from Todd in the Shadows. Mostly.
I love anime and Ive been a fan of it for years now. I watch anime if its a futuristic sci-fi but I do watch other anime programs thats not set in the future. So far Ive only watched A.D Police, Ghost In a Shell 2.0 (I didnt watch the TV Series) and one of my favourite anime films Redline.
I officially own a MAME arcade machine.

If you need anymore sci-fi anime, give me a holler. I've seen tons of Sci-fi anime.
@MickeyMac: Ghost In a Shell 2.0, A.D Police and Vexille are the only programs/films I watched that are Sci-fi. To be honest, I dont have a good knowledge of anime and I should really look into it more.

Anyone have any interest in Cyborg 009? I have a 2 disc set of the 2001 series that I'm trying to get rid of via trade/sell as it didn't grab me but the animation's decent. Also selling Kaze no Stigma (which I actually watch all the way through)
I bought the first Robotech collection that Wal-mart has. I need to start that soon. And finish/watch more of Hellgirl.

Ok. I never heard of any of the four you recommended to me. I am interested in Outlaw Star because it has a good plot. The rest of them im not too shabby about. My local HMV does sell anime but its mostly Naruto and Hellsing I see. I will do my best to look into the others and see if i can get them online instead of HMV.

@Deviant_Mugen: Problem is im from Ireland and I usually check out Ebay for DVDs. I bought one on Ebay that came from Malaysia called Wangan Midnight and it worked for me probably because its region free.

Legend of The Galactic Heroes is only available through fansubs, so don't worry about looking for that in the store. The rest were all distributed through Beez Entertainment. I don't think they're releasing anime anymore, so if you decide to pick them up, I suggest doing it soon before they become too expensive (BTW, I meant Crest of the Stars. Banner of the Stars never came out over there, and it's really rare over here). And yeah, looking online would be better. Gundam, for instance, is available on Youtube through an official source, so you don't even need to buy it if you don't want to.

They accept internation shipping. Might be pricey, I don't know, but at least the base prices are cheaper. There are also tutorials online on how to change your DVD's region, too.
@SegaGame93 If you're willing to look at more suggestions, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun and Planetes are all great Sci-fi series that I'd highly recommend. Well, I say sci-fi, but Trigun really leans much closer to the "western" part of "sci-fi western" and I'm personally a bit reluctant to shoe-horn the genius of Bebop into any one or two genres - that it takes place in a future with interplanetary space travel and terraformed planets/moons/asteroids is almost a garnish in many episodes. Planetes, however, is pure hard science fiction.
Oh, and I might as well recommend Paprika too, if only because more people should see Satoshi Kon's films. Fair warning though, it's a real mind trip (pun intended).
I would add Ergo Proxy to this sci-fi list. And Noein, it's pretty neat from what I've seen of it.

It gets out right weird near the end, but I'd add Neon Genesis Evangelion to the whole Sci-fi thing. Tenchi Muyo is pretty good as well (and I found it to be hilarious).
Also, you might want to check out Blue Gender and Wolf's Rain (although I'm not exactly sure what genre the latter falls into). I thought they were both decent shows, but my brother outright adores them, so there might be something there for you.
