Finally figured out what episode of Fairy Tail I was on today, so I'm going to get back into that. (episode 77.) And I will start Gurren Lagan by the end of this week. Probably the fifth time I've said this, but I mean it this time.
Do it. I'm watching the last episoide of Gureen Lagan and its reignited my love of anime/manga.
So what are your guys thoughts on a possible toonami revival/adult swim getting a more anime focus that's been rumored to be in the works.
What would you guys like to see on it.
I was just thinking about this. Are you reading my mind or something? Honestly, with Toonami's standards, there aren't too many shows left for them to pick that I know of that wouldn't require a lot of editting. All I can think of so far are:
Gundam AGE - A kid-oriented Gundam that's lower on the blood and stuff. Could easily be top of their list.
Naruto - It'd have to be on last like it was before, though.
Sgt. Frog - Some scenes would have to be edited out (and I won't miss them, since they usually involve the show being creepy about young girls), but otherwise it's perfect.
Gaiking: Legend of Daiku Maryu - Could be a lowest bidder type thing at least. It's perfectly kid-oriented outside of one scene where the Main baddie has 5000 children slaughtered because they're not pretty enough. It's a completely unnecessary scene, though.
At a stretch:
PreCure - If they can show Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew, they can show this.
I'm at a loss as to what else they could show, though.
I was thinking for toonami and adult swim have a mix of old and new stuff.

I was under the impression Cartoon Network was against shoing anything older than 2000 to their regular viewers, so I think it's more likely that they'd stick to the newer stuff. If they don't, though, that'd give them way more options - I'm already salivating at the possibilities!
Realistically, though, they won't show One Piece. It's actually not very kid oriented. Some really violent stuff goes on in it that I don't think they could edit out. Late evening like Naruto? Maybe. Gurren Lagann...they'd need to edit Yoko's outfit, and get rid of some blood during a very important scene. Also, there's a ton of blantant innuendo, too. It could still work, I just think it would be better on Adult Swim.
I forgot about the America "anime", that's always a possibility, as much as I hate that stuff.
Hey, quick question, does NLife have a Manga discussion thread? I do prefer Manga over anime so just wondering...
This has been asked a bunch before. As far as I'm aware of there isn't. I love reading Manga too. Speaking of which, I really need to start putting some cash towards manga again. I need the rest of those Omnibus Card Captor Sakura mangas.
If there is a manga discussion thread, then I'm sure it's buried in the back pages. Hell, this thread's traffic is really sporadic, so a manga thread would probably be even more so. I, too, love manga, but discussion of it can probably also occur here, so long as spoilers are marked. Speaking of spoilers, this forum really needs a spoiler button. It would make discussion so much easier, especially without having to worry about those not in the know getting spoiled...

Glad to see someone else on here who's current on One Piece. You should also check out Arlong Park if you'd like to discuss the chapters in a more active environment...

You can always multi-task. I regularly post on three forums: [adult swim], Arlong Park and here. Well, maybe not post, but I do lurk all three on a regular basis...

Surprisingly I really don't like the whole mecha approach to Digimon in Xros Wars. Way too much character development is lost in favor of action. Bleh. So yeah I guess I'm dropping it and starting Gurren Laggan for sure now. No excuses! May come back to it when I run out of stuff to watch. Which won't be for a long time.

There's only 4 series I've read more of in the past few months (Tegami Bachi, Bakuman, Yatsubo&, Soul Eater) . The rest I haven't bothered with for a while for various reasons.
