Can anyone recommend me a good anime on Netflix Instant? I've already watched Hikaru no Go and both Fullmetal Alchemists.

I mean, if you are looking for something that's funny, just go ahead and add Sgt. Frog to your Queue. It's friggin hilarious

Agreed. I marathoned the first season last year and it was amazing. Lots of great jokes and the Funi version americanizes it so us westerners can actually get the jokes (they needed too many footnotes when I tried watching it subbed). The only problem is the multitude of Gundam references, but if you can put up with the star trek references in Big Bang Theory, you shouldn't have a problem.

Okay, after watching nothing but One Piece as far as anime goes for the past month, I'm looking for something that I can watch as a change of pace alongside it. Something short (preferably around 13 episodes) and a little "darker". Right now, I'm thinking of choosing Un-Go, Blade of the Immortal or Now and Then, Here and There, but if anyone has any other suggestions (or can help me choose between the three I'm looking at), I'm more than open to them.

Now and Then Here And There would be a good choice. There art many good dark shows that I know of that are that short. Kiba comes to mind though.

I suggest looking up ovas if you want something short. Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and betrayal is only 4 episodes long yet is absolutely perfect.

Does anyone on here recomend any good abridged series of anime?
I've already seen Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series, Team Four Star and Pokemon: The 'Bridged Series.

Shin-Chan and Duel Masters are abridged series all their own. Then there's Yu Gi Oh GX abridged, Sonic Bastardized, and Dragon Ball Z abridged.

Isn't Team Four Star DBZ Abridged?

There are multiple DBZ abridged shows. I only saw one episode of one. I could've sworn it just called itself DBZ abridged. Once I get back on my comp I'll try to find it again.

Since it's a prequel, I don't need much prior knowledge going into Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal, correct? Because I've only only watched ever watched the first two thirds of the anime, and that was a while ago.

Half of a DBZ episode is spent saying: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Anyway has anyone watched Gintama, the comedy is good and the characters are interesting. My favorite being Sogo, I love how he just randomly pulls out a bazooka.

I hate Gintama. It's way too over-the-top, long past the point of being funny.

Regarding T&B yes, you don't need any prior knowledge.

Regarding the abridged, look up scarletlass11

Regarding the obvious trolling towered DBZ, it is obvious.

Hmmm. Hearing all you guys talk makes me feel like I little to none about anime.
Let's see... I've seen a lot of DBZ, quite a bit of Bo-Bo-Bo Bo Bo-Bo-Bo (Hilarious), some FMA:B (AMAZING) though with difficulty...
One Piece is my favorite manga of all time, but I still cringe during filler stuff. I'm watching the Funi Dub, and I'm currently at Alabasta (Full of awful Filler). Though I am happy that the series REALLY gets going a Water 7, that was my favorite arc in the manga...
I've seen like, 1 episode of Naruto that WASN'T filler, not that I'm too fond of the manga either. After the whole Spoiler Ninja War thing started, I felt like too many characters I should be caring about were introduced, but the sheer amount made me not care at all. Also, I don't like bleach. Although I'm currently reading it, I just... Dislike it. I don't know why I keep reading, but it's not compelling. I've seen a bit of the Anime, nothing too special.
Oh, and I just watch dubs mostly. Dunno why, I feel too lazy to bother with subs.
Welp, it's nice to be here.

Filler in One Piece? Awful? You sure we're talking about the same show?

And yes, you're only at the tiptop of the Iceburg, though don't feel too bad - most if us aren't too deep in actually.

Anyways, I just saw a clip of GaoGaiGar Final, and my jaw dropped! They need to remake the whole show with that kind of animation. Now I really want to finish GaoGaiGar so I can see Final. Urgh, but there's no dub in the second half and the Japanese cast doesn't do as good of a job.

"Wow, you nice batch of Pirates! Why dont you stop to help my grandpa who's a dragon, and make this HUGE detour from you heading into the most conflicting waters in history and your emminent adventures!"
Seriously, a filler arc... ABOUT A DRAGON. Helping out this RANDOM LITTLE GIRL.
I mean...in the manga, the Straw Hats don't try to be nice guys. In recent chapters Sanji was being a jerk to kids in need. The thing is, they aren't heroes, they're just generally liked.
In filler though, it takes it away, making them into nothing but heroic do-gooders.
Oh well...maybe it's just me.

Dude, that was a great arc. The story to it great and really hit home. And don't try to be nice guys? Helping people seems to be all they ever do! I really don't see what your problem is here. I honestly would've believed the whole arc was canon had I not been told otherwise, it's that good. In fact, this series has some of the best filler out there, and everyone I know who has seen it has said the same thing.

Anyways, I started watching GaoGaiGar again. It turns out I had stopped right before the end of the first major arc, the ending of which was really epic. I'm really glad I started watching it again.

I'll just list my top ten anime, and see where that gets me, lol.

10-Bleach 9-Trigun 8-Cowboy Bebop 7-Outlaw Star 6-Yu Yu Hakusho 5-Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 4-Rurouni Kenshin 3-Tenchi Muyo 2-InuYasha 1-Dragon Ball Z.

I do want to point out that these are just my personal favorites, I'm not trying to say these are the best quality (I know that DBZ isn't perfection in anything, I just love watching it). I will say that I haven't been able to get into many of what I like to call "newer" anime, like Naruto, One Piece, or Bo Bo Bo (they all put me off in one way or another). Although I do love FMA:B, I think that's the only "newer" one I genuinely loved (the only reason Bleach is holding on at the 10 spot is because I enjoyed it through the Soul Society arc, after that it gets worse, IMO. Not only that, but I heard a report that they were going to end the anime before the end of the manga, so they made us suffer through all that crappy filler, and their not even going to be able to give us a half decent ending. Sure, InuYasha ended prematurely as well, but it didn't have near the filler problem that Bleach has, and back in 2009-2010, they actually made a second series to finish it out once the manga was completed).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Well, I'm just sayin it isn't really consitent with the manga. The first few arcs of the Anime is somewhat more aloof and lighthearted, at least from how I see it...
But whatever. Just reilliterating that One Piece is my FAVORITE SERIES, but I don't think the filler I've seen is too fitting.

I just started reading the manga for Zatch Bell... is the anime good? The manga is pretty good in my opinion.
My friend is obsessed with D. Gray Man... should I try it?

I used to watch it but don't anymore as it got too sacrilegious for my liking but if that doesn't bother you then I highly recommend it as I enjoyed what I did see but the plot is rather repetitive near the end of series 2. It has a really good dub but unfortunately they only dubbed the first two series and not series 3 and 4.
