Well, looks like I actually got Season 1 Part 1 of the Squid Girl anime, well I haven't gotten it yet, but it shipped. Man that was a pain, but it's over now. lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Megumi
Hold onto that DVD. Considering that very few people care about Squid Girl, that DVD might become rare in the future.
I just hope I'm not being trolled, but yeah it seems to be rare already. (look at the prices for the season 1 collection, lol)
Anyways, it looks like Part 2 will be easy...since they got 16 of them. (and the price is at normal, too, lol)
Yeah, no. Squid Girl is quite popular. The only reason it's rare is because it's license is held be a company that's been pretty much inactive for over half a decade: http://media-blasters.com/squid-girl/
We're basically just waiting for their license to expire in a few more years....
@CanisWolfred
Sorry, I was referring to the popularity of Squid Girl in the US market. Sorry I should have been more clear on that. But, yeah, I'm familiar with the licensing problem too.
...It was very popular in the U.S. At least within the Anime fandom, which is as good as you can hope for in a post-2006 United States...like, those were U.S. sources I linked to. You could, you know, read them before you make an assumption...
Oh hey, my provider carries that channel. I'll have to check it out. What are they gonna show?
...Is This a Zombie? Black Blood Brothers? Devil May Cry? Tokyo Majin?
...Um, maybe not, actually. The Zombie is supposedly good, but I'm not a fan of comedy anime; I've seen Devil May Cry and BBB, and neither were good enough to warrant a rewatch, IMO...all that leaves is Tokyo Majin, but that doesn't sound like my thing, plus it's on too late for me to watch...oh well...
Yup, was trolled, the dvd case was not new...and the discs were severely scratched. sighs
Ouch! Way sorry to the max, that blows big time. Does it work at all?
I'm not even going to bother with a seller like this, gonna get my money back. I'm just gonna resort to online and see if I can just download the episodes...

I'm liking what I see and hear. At the very least, it should be different, and it might force them to focus a little more on tactics and non-Gundam weaponry in battles for a while.
1A. I agree that the art isn't as detailed as that of the original series, but I'll be reserving final judgement until they get to more serious moments, which will probably have higher animation budgets (also, the original series had more detailed manga panels they had to adapt & were able to use as reference, everything here is new with no reference point).
1B. However, the colors are much more vibrant and pop out much more here, than in Z (which is easily apparent when they flash back to original footage). This is due to the fact that with digital animation, the colors aren't muted by dust & other irritants that get caught in the physical animation cells of traditional art (and with computer animation, you can make colors much more bright than you can with real world tools).
2. I wholeheartedly agree that the Faulconer soundtrack is one of my all time favorites in anime, but all in all, the new tracks don't bother me (then again, I'm the kind of person to not really notice music unless I really, really like it).
3. The idea that DBS is more grounded in reality than DBZ I don't see at all, however. Bills/Beerus is a mythical being from the magical "Other World", whose based appearance is based off of the Egyptian diety Anubis, and exists to judge which planets should or should not be destroyed. That's much more fantasy natured than either the Sayain & Namek arcs (powerful aliens) or the Android & Cell arcs (mechanical/biological superweapons created in a lab), which were much more sci-fi than fantasy. The only fantasy arc in Z was the Majin Buu arc (well, that and the Garlic Jr. & Other World Martial Arts Tournament filler arcs), but I don't think you'll find anyone saying any of those are the highlights of the series (not to say there weren't any cool moments to come from them, as the Super Sayain 3 reveal was pretty iconic, of course).

@Megumi: I hope you get your money back fine! Sorryz again
So was waiting to see if Mr. Wolfred was going to say anything first about http://g-tekketsu.com/index.html (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans). There is this announcement event video w/Eng sub and there is also this teaser/trailer.. I don't know what to think right now. The MC(Mikazuki Augus) looks like he might also turn into a cry baby emo BUT if the wiki is right about this show and not some random crap it also says Mikazuki "An orphan who would not hesitate to sacrifice his life for his comrades" so maybe he will be a bit brash and hot headed, that would be awesome. I will also always love the more clunky and rough look of the mechs from the older Gundam series. I'm not saying there bad now at all, to me they just seem more sleek and the older shows just felt more idk "real" or plausible ... someday. If I do end up watching all of this it will be the first Gundam T.V series to come out post 1999 that I could watch in its entirety, I really want to be able to say that!
EDIT: Started this an hour ago but then I went and did some stuff and spaced finishing lol so Wolfred you did beat me to it
