Found out there is an anime based on Pollyanna today. Will buy the japanese movie with scenes from the anime as the anime itself is too expensive to buyball at once from Japan, and its not released on dvd in any launguage I actualy understands.

Why is it not released in english?

Just finished up episode 1 of Dragon Ball Super!

Mostly comedic fluff, getting us reacquainted with Goku's family, but it was a good time (especially the scene with Master Roshi at the end, which was hilarious).

It looks like it'll be over writing the Battle of Gods & Resurrection F movies though. Goku has made it clear that Buu is the strongest foe he's fought thus far, and Gohan & Videl are only engaged (suggesting this takes place before BoG), yet Beerus/Bills is currently awake destroying planets (while BoG clearly indicates that visiting Goku was the first thing he did after waking up, and he was asleep for 35 years before waking).

Next episode is a Vegeta episode!

I have to tell ya, watching the Super Mario Bros anime movie was the best movie I ever seen.

Some random dude on Nintendo Life.
Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.

@RR529: Didn't they say that Super is in between DBZ and the new movies? Didn't watch Battle of Gods, so I don't know if it makes sense to show Beerus going around the universe and destroying planets without him ever meeting Goku in the series (maybe that's just stuff from the past?). But maybe they're only using him to introduce that other guy, who looks like a fat Beerus. He's in the back of the key visual I don't know if he has a name yet, tho.

I think the footage of Beerus/Bills destroying that planet (well, technically half of the planet) was in real time, because towards the end they showed Kabuto Kai (anyone remember him, lol) worried about it.

As for Battle of Gods:

After waking up from his 35 year sleep, Beerus/Bills was eating breakfast when he decided he wanted to kill Frieza (since he was uppity with him the last time they met), but when Wiess (his "servant") told him that Frieza had been killed by a Super Sayain during his sleep, he wanted to immediately meet Goku, since he had a dream about being defeated by a "Super Sayain god". So he went directly to King Kai's planet after eating (where Goku was at the time), and then straight to Earth from there (to meet the other Sayains).

You're probably right about the show taking place inbetween DBZ & the new movies, but having Beerus/Bills out and about seems like an odd inconsistency to make if that's the case (especially since the movies are still recent).

Ushio & Tora had a nice first episode. Looking forward to more of that one. Still got a bunch I gotta try, and since I just got caught up with One Piece, thus leaving a big gaping hole in my heart, I might actually succeed to some degree on watching stuff this season.

Oh, actually I already watched more of Wooser season 3, but I'm not counting sequels. So I have 10 more to try.

I feel like Hunter x Hunter has on / off seasons.

The first story arch was great, then they kind of have an off season, then the third season was greaT with the phantom troupe story arch and now this current one is just kinda eh.

I have no idea what you're talking about, since the only dip in quality that I remember is the "Zoldyck Family" arc, which is only a dip because it was mostly exposition with a fake-out conflict. It was an extremely necessary arc, but it was also a transitionary one, so I don't regard it as fondly as the arcs before and after it. But from then on, it just upped the ante. If you think Greed Island is meh, you're clearly not far enough in. I actually liked that arc a lot more than Yorkshin City, and yet the series only got better from there.

@OutCold: LOGH is my second favorite (non-mecha) sci-fi series I've seen, just after Space Battleship Yamato 2199. I never thought I'd see the day when it would be released stateside. I can't wait!

And yeah, I'd love to have some sleekboxes for Mobile Suit Gundam and Zeta Gundam. Also, apparently both parts of Turn A Gundam are out already. I gotta remember to order those...

@CanisWolfred I took a break from JoJo the other day(just about to finish the 1st part of Stardust Crusaders) and watched the first couple episodes of Space Battleship Yamato. Is 2199 just a remake of the original, what one should I watch?

I also got these in the mail today! Already finished the 1st one and Its just as amazing as the movie so far! I should of just ordered all 6 of them instead of the first 4.

Oh yeah, I read the newest chapter of Bleach the other day!

Still in flashback.

It's been 3 years since the events of last week's chapter, and Bazz-B has finally earned himself a spot as a Stern Ritter, and is able to meet his old friend Halschwalth again (who has become the head of the organization), though relations between the two are still frosty as Halschwalth largely ignores Bazz-B, and is now seemingly loyal to Ywach (a man they had agreed to work together to kill, when they were younger).

Finally it flashes back to their current fight, where Halschwalth slices off one of Bazz-B's arms (the one that has his spirit crossbow thing). Bazz-B tries to retaliate with his other, unleashing the full power of his "Burner Finger" technique, but Halschwalth dodges and gets a meaty blow in on Bazz-B. Bazz-B finally admits defeat, and appears to die as he falls to the ground, losing consciousness.

Also watched episode 13 of Kyokai no Rinne! This is just a nice show to come back to every week.

I'm only a few episodes into the Greed Island story arch o:

I just was really into the whole Kurapika / Phantom Troupe / Auction story line, it was very gripping and the pacing was really well done. Maybe for me it's just because things seem to have slowed down a bit but from what you're saying I guess things will pick up.

I saw the first couple episodes of the 70's Yamato, and it was good, but the remake makes a ton of positive changes to the story and characters. It really feels like a refined classic, IMO. The best remake to date.

Also, I have the chance to pick up an anime today, but I'm not sure if I should get The Lost Universe, or Turn A Gundam. TLU is cheaper and I haven't seen it already, but I know I like Turn A, and I could always use the $25 gift card I have to cover the rest of the cost...

Toonami Saturday night!

DBZ Kai - Goku arrives on the scene! With his newfound power he toys around with the Ginyu force in fun fashion. Seriously, no matter how many times I watch it, DBZ is always one of the fastest half hours in TV.

Kill la Kill - Another half hour of absolute insanity. It took pretty much everyone, but it looks like Ryuko is finally back to being herself.

Mitchiko & Hatchin - This show continues to do what it's been doing. Seriously, I'm enjoying it, but can't really pin it down for some reason.

Sword Art Online II - Kirito manages to save Sinon from the real world Death Gun. Two of the Death Gun trio are arrested, while the third is still on the run. It looks like this arc may be over, but not yet the war, as one of the captured Death Guns warns Kirito that this is just the beginning. Meanwhile, Kirito introduces Sinon to his other friends, and finally bring closure to her past.

Naruto Shippuden - Naruto enters the next step of his training, while the Akatsuki attack the Fire Temple. The head monk tries to fend them off with magical fists of fury, but fails, and now the temple is in ruins. One lone survivor sneaks off in order to tell the Leaf.

One Piece - Franky & Robin manage to secure a ship, while most of the rest of the gang escape watery death, followed by some good old fashioned comic relief. The revelry is short lived however, as it appears the Franky Family, Galley La shipwrights, and other random side characters are killed in the Buster Call. It's all down to the final stages of Luffy VS Lucci, and Luffy thinks he has one more Second Gear boost left in him.

Also, during Shippuden, they had another one of those weird music videos.

Wow! Has anyone watched the Japanese trailer for the upcoming Boruto: Naruto The Movie? That looks pretty good "much better than the 7th Shippuden Movie".

I'll probably watch it in 2037. I'll have all the free time I need when I'm in a bunker waiting for the Hyperbees to move on to a new feeding ground. :T

Just finished up episode 2 of Dragon Ball Super! (BTW, if anyone wants me to spoiler tag these, go ahead and say so. Nothing major has happened yet, but I want to get this clear before things start getting heavy)

Vegeta makes good on his promise to Trunks in the original series in that he'd take him to an amusement park, and hilarity ensues as Vegeta gets more & more irritated at the happy go lucky atmosphere of the place, before flying off to train (Bulma's happy though, as he stuck around much longer than she thought he would). Goku arrives on King Kai's planet and starts tearing up the place with his training (much to King Kai's disdain). Meanwhile, Beerus/Bills arrives on a prehistoric planet in search of dinosaur meat. Of course instead of finding one of his own, he decides to steal the latest kill of the caveman like aliens that inhabit the planet. Their strongest warrior (I'd assume somewhere inbetween Zarbon & Ginyu levels of power) challenges the god of Destruction, but Beerus/Bills stops his best efforts with his finger, and flings the warrior's big finish attack back at him for the win. Afterwards he decides he no longer wants the meat, and the planet is destoyed swiftly as Beerus/Bills casually tosses aside a golf ball sized ball of ki. In the explosion, Beerus/Bills sees a prophetic image of the one who will challenge him, the "Super Sayain god".

Also watched episode 14 of Kyokai no Rinne! The cast gets involved in some ghost haunts at the amusement park, and romantic mishaps & misunderstandings fly around aplenty as you can imagine if you've been following the series. Also, new opening & ending. The opening animation has a brand new song, and about half of the sequence itself has new animation. Meanwhile, the closing animation has a new song, but only one new animation clip.
