According to a listing on the North American eShop, Infinite Dunamis will also be releasing in our region this week as well! Infinite Dunamis is yet another Kemco JRPG, but this one does appear quite unique as it has more of a Steam-Punk style story rather than the Medieval Fantasy-style story that most of the other Kemco RPG's possess. Are you looking forward to more RPG goodness?

Let the discussion begin!

I look at the thread title and it makes want to know more but I know I will just end up disappointed.

I happen to like Kemco release on 3DS, like a guilty pleasure since no one else seem to like them.

I'm 7 hours into it (now at Main Quest #21), and so far I'm enjoying it. I like the story so far, and I love progression system. Besides standard leveling, you also gets elemental rings like in Alphadia, which works like Espers in Final Fantasy VI: get enough WP to level up your elemental LV and get new magics.

Also, you now have a Weapon System a la Final Fantasy IX, where every new weapons can teach you a skill once you reach 100% Profency with it. And even when you learn the skill, you can go higher than 100% to make the weapon stronger.

Finally, your character Estelle, for story reason, can be fed with Crystal to make some of her 4 base attributes gains even higher stats.

With all those systems in place, I'm quite enjoying my time in the game, customizing my characters, even if yes, it does feel low budget.

@Drac_Mazoku Yeah this game is one of the better Kemco releases on the 3DS eShop so far, though admittedly I like all of their Wii U and 3DS releases to varying degrees so far! I think Asdivine Hearts and Justice Chronicles are my two favourites so far, this is a close third.

@Neko_Ichigofan Yeah, I really love Justice Chronicles too (didnt buy their Wii U release yet, just all their 3DS ones). It is, to my surprise, a really polished small RPG.

I just hate how people now just ditch Kemco on 3DS without even giving them a chance, just because they're port of mobile RPG. Of course, a lot of NL reviews don't help the cause (since they're pretty much the only one giving score to those games on 3DS, the MetaCritic score then become really bad and then people falsely think they're all bad by default.).

So before they post their review, this game on mobile gets a lot of 7 and 8 out of 10. And this is what I would score the game too. A 7.5 out of 10 (so far at least). Which is by no mean a BAD game. It's actually a GOOD game.

Beat the game yesterday (now trying to beat the tons of post-game challenging boss). Biggest problem with the game is really the choppy scrolling, because other than that, I had a lot of fun with it. Plus, the game is really challenging past the midway point (no more auto-battle everywhere to win all the fights) and offer a lot of things to do post-game, and when you're done, there's also a New Game + option which, from what the game is telling us at the end, is adding new scenes which can build to a new ending.

And the game give you enough option to cut the grind time, that you will never have to stop and run in circle to get through the next area. I know this will get demolished by NL, and people will believe them without giving the game a chance. But for me, it's an easy 8/10, which could be improved just by fixing the chopiness of the engine.

Yeah, well, I've put around 50 hours in Infinite Dunamis, getting the True ending, completing the bestiary, all sidequests and finding all the treasures, but also customizing a godly party with a perfect Estelle who can now one-shot the last optional boss on Normal. And it was a total blast playing through it. I highly recommend the game to everyone who loves old-school RPG, and I wish indeed people on this site would stop ignoring those just because they are so-called "bad mobile RPG port". I'm still waiting for the horrible score NL will give it, just to link people to this forum post.
