Topic: If You Had Another Region's DSi, What Games Would You Get For It?

Birdman

I believe the title says it all. If I had a European DSi, I'd get the following:

Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ - If only for the convenience, as I have the retail version
Wakugumi: Monochrome Puzzle - Love Mitchell Corp. games, and I really hope this game comes to NA.

So, what would you get on a different region's DSi?

Exactly.

Probably Pokemon White. I would get it for my original DS but I would find it very hard to play due to me owning a XL and having such a huge bright screen.

@Birdman13: I think the Red Riding Hood game is coming to NA at some point, at least the ESRB rated it recently. I agree with you about Wakugami. This should have been here awhile ago in my opinion. Hope we get it sometime!

Cipher

I've got a European DSi, but if I had one from either of the other two main regions I'd snap up A Kappa's Trail in a heartbeat. Still waiting for it to hit Europe!

I don't think I'd take a trip to another region just to get a DSiWare game.

If I had to choose another regions DSi to get hands down I would get a Japan DSi. Not sure about games though as its been a while since the last time I've checked Japans update. For sure the video app Japan is keeping all to their selfs would be dl'ed.

So many games get DSiWare versions that I have very few full DS titles: Mr. Driller DSiWare instead of Drill Spirits, Space Invaders Extreme Z instead of Space Invaders Extreme 2, etc. - not to mention the Japanese DSiWare scene is very active and there's loads of exclusives. Of course on the flip side there's a lot of games released outside of Japan that don't make it over there, so it's pretty even that way.

There was a game that came out in Japan that I really wish I could get in the UK, but I doubt it would ever come out over here. I'm not quite sure what the actually name was, but this is what NL wrote about it in May:

at Enter! Taisen Hanafuda Koi Koi Gassen (200pts – Tasuke) – The classic hanafuda game "Koi Koi" on your DSi. Play against the computer or a friend, via Download Play!

The game uses a beautiful set of playing cards like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanafuda
I have the cards, but it's hard finding people to play with.

Yeah but I am a Flipnote freak, and the Japanese have the best flipnotes.
Assuming that I also have an American DSi, I could be an importer.

If I had a clue about that game I would download it. In the meantime I'm juggling my Mario and Chinese Civil War mahjong games (the former is actually a cart) and playing picross thanks to Hudson putting out two massive collections on DSiWare.

On-topic, if I was to have a UK/European DSi I would get that pinball game I've been wanting which STILL isn't out in Japan. Waaaaaaaah! Oh well, at least Aura Aura Climber finally got a Japanese release a couple weeks ago (not that I've bought it yet).

Ah, Koi Koi. That's available on Clubhouse Games and I used to play it over WFC. Great game once you understand it's intricacies.

Too bad the DSiWare version isn't available in the west. I wonder if it has more options available than the CHG version.
