You probably already know but gaming forums are typically full of negativity, flame wars and arguments therefore Nintendo Life is proud to be known as one of the most friendly gaming communities around and we need your help keeping it that way.
It's the job of our forum moderators to step into threads when things get a little heated and calm things down - it's video games after all and therefore is no excuse to behave the way some people do on other sites. We also find an underlying battle against spammers and scammers who just want to sell their warez - all of these needs to be tidied up to keep things clean and tidy.
Our website, and therefore community of users has grown a lot in recent years but the size of our moderators team has not, therefore it is time for some new recruits and we would like to know if any of you are interested in stepping up and help shape the forums into an event better community for all?
We're looking to add at least two new moderators from North America and at least two from Europe/Australasia.
If you're interested in become a moderator, ask yourself if you agree with the following statements:
I have a good grasp of the English language
I can listen to both sides of an argument and suggest peaceful resolutions
I have a reasonable amount of free time to spend reading the forums
I have a particular interest in Nintendo games and topics

Why you think you would make a good moderator
May I ask what defines a "reasonable" amount of free time?
We'd be looking for people that visit the forums every day, or nearly every day. You wouldn't make a very good mod if you're only reading the forums once a week for instance.

Ah. I browse the threads a lot. I think I have an addiction lol

I was wondering that, too
No kidding... I have a job and family to support so if they want like an hour a day I can do that. If they want people who can dedicate a sizeable chunk like say 4hrs a day then I can't

Hmm, I feel like I could be a moderator, but I don't really know if I spend enough time or read enough threads to be that helpful. For me it would just be like, I would casually read the forum like I always have, and edit anything bad, try to stop any conflicts I see, or lock duplicate/spam/stupid threads. Plus, what if I suddenly go power crazy and abuse my powers or something?!?!
I see that the old Nintendo_Life_Staff user page now redirects to NintendoLife. (That was the page you'd get to if an article, e.g. a round table, was attributed to Nintendo Life Staff and you clicked the name.)
