I couldn't find any at two large TESCO stores, I was told they didn't stock any Nintendo products at all anymore. I ended up going to GAME, I got the only Link amiibo.
That worries me... is it Tesco refusing to sell Nintendo or Nintendo refusing to supply them? I cant imagine that the handhelds did that badly in there. I bought Pokemon Y from Tesco back when it was released.
Tesco online still sells Wii U - in fact I just did a click and collect order for the Wii U Pro Controller since it's only £34 and no one else comes close to that price. I do seem to recall reading on NL that they were going to stop selling Wii U kit and software in stores, however and that seems to be the case. If Wii U enjoys a big sales boost at Xmas all this may change, but if online is my only source, I'm okay. After all given all the counterfeit stuff out there ordering from the Nintendo online store is a safe bet.
I haven't gotten one yet as the one I do want is not out yet.
I wanted to waited to wait till I found a character's I liked from the new roaster or used my old main. Well Little Mac is my new main, still trying to master him though. Can't wait till the 19th.
Nipe Tesco is selling them got link samus and fix there and there were the rest apart from Marth Wii fit trainer (which I haven't seen anywhere) and villager

My local Gamestop and Target had a pretty good section dedicated to them (this is in the US obviously). The initial runs will probably sell well as Nintendo fans and collectors buy them, but I do wonder about the long term. I don't think kids, which are the biggest market for these types of figures, are very interested in them.
I just went to a Target store in Aus and I was surprised to see four Pikachu left on the shelf. There were also two WFT (one of which I bought) and two Donkey Kong. Everyone else was sold. I'm surprised all the Pikachu weren't. Maybe it has to do with the immense amount of other Pika-merch.
This is quite a shame.... especially because amiibo and Nintendo are doing so well in the US. Maybe they need to find a new marketing approach for the UK....?
I went a closer Target today and they told me they sold all the amiibo they got in one day. Really surprised me. I'm not sure how many they got, but it seems like they're moving faster than Infinity figures- which are melting the shelves- in my area.
Maybe they need to find a new marketing approach for the UK....?
Probably a lost cause. Nintendo hasn't been popular in the UK since like... NES. UK was a Sega stronghold until they left the hardware biz, then it was Xbox territory.
