@Tsurii

Yeah, like @Meowpheel said, it is the Title screen theme (as I recall). They aren't My Nintendo Rewards. When you buy one of the games from the eshop, it will give you a screen after the download finishes with a code for Celebii, and just below that is the code for the theme. You just have to enter that code into the theme shop on the 3DS home screen.

The European eShop article does mention a new pair of pokemon GS theme being added to my nintendo. Though I'm not sure if they're the same.

Yeah they didn't really announce it or anything.

I recall seeing a blurb about these on Serebii about these being available to Japanese customers, but nothing outside of Japan. Glad to see that the perk is international!

Oh what do these look like then?

About the music, I don't really mind it. It's not like I usually leave the menu open for extended periods of time.

Though if I had to choose...? Maybe the music for the National Park or the Ecruteak theme would've been nice options too.

Damn Dunsparce's 1% encounter rate!!!!!

Edit: I only just realised that it was also my profile pic. Sweet, sweet Dunny. ^-^

@sillygostly Americans can't play the game for another few hours

Wasn't for the UK. I played it a few minutes after midnight here.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Over here (in my time zone) we had to wait 'till 11 am.

Anyway it's finally here, and I wish they could've mapped select to the Y button.

not really related to the game but I had a problem getting the codes for Celebi and the 3DS Home Theme (I believe it's something to do with having linked my Switch eShop to my Nintendo Account as receipts don't show up past March 3rd on my 3DS eShop). Called Nintendo's customer service and they fixed it real quick, e-mailing me the codes ~10 minutes after I called them.

everything's good and it'll be that way forever!

@sillygostly Heh, now that you mention it, my little adventure in the dark cave went like....

Enter, geodude, got potion, zubat, went to the exit, dunsparce.

Quite efficient if you ask me.

Lol. I've just been walking around in circles in the dark. Bayleef is now level 18. I'm hoping to train up little Dunny at the Sprout Tower, but the search has dampened my progress.

The first ever shiny Pokemon I came across (minus Gyarados) was a Rattata in Pokemon Gold. I had no clue what they were at the time and ran from it. XD I thought my game was glitched or something.

Mine was a pidgey in Silver. I wonder where it is now. It probably died in my old savefile or is in the Stadium Limbo.

On a slightly related note, I just caught my first ever Gen 3 shiny, a gulpin. Like really, the first one in all these years. I had seen a zigzagoon many many years ago, but couldn't catch it.

I'll clone it with emerald.

Well I downloaded Gold last night...if I got wind of the special themes by buying a download code from BB, I would've just snagged it while I was there for Pokkén, heh. :3

As far as shinies go, I actually didn't get around to playing the Gen II games til later on, despite watching the anime faithfully from the original season til Gen III ended. The first shiny I remember encountering myself belonged to someone at...Trainer Hill(?) in Emerald; it was a shiny Espeon. I remember being upset because OFC it wasn't a wild Pokémon and -it was a frickin green Espeon-.

Oh yeah, these particular Pokemon are always shiny. I think there's like two or three trainers with shiny Pokemon there.
