I am slightly irritated that I wasn't able to find a similar topic already in existance. If I just overlooked it, please lead me there. =]
With all the Kirby sales in both of the e-shops I was wondering which Kirby games are your favorites so far.
Did post it here, because I am personally interested in buying one from the 3DS-eshop, but I would be glad to see your Top 5 or something regardless of which platform they were released on (even Wii + 3DS). Would be really interested in your choices (and reasons) for I am pretty much a stranger to the series.

Never want to come down, never want to put my feet back down on the ground.

Kirby Super Stat Ultra and Return to Dreamland are my favorite two Kirby games, but between those two it's just a matter of preference. Would you rather a portable Kirby game, or a four player Kirby game?

Not much to say here. I like Nintendo. That's about it.

I'm relatively new to the series so i'd like to know which others to get as well. But out of the ones i have played i shall rank them.
1) Kirby Power paintbrush or canvas curse in NA (probably will be surpassed by rainbow paintbrush when that comes out in a couple weeks).
2)Triple deluxe (amazing soundtrack, creative level design and hypernova are all massive things i love about TD)
3)Epic Yarn (again really good soundtrack, Absolutely gorgeous, fun gameplay etc)
4)Super star ultra (i like every Kirby game i have played, just this the least.)

What what i have played of the series so far you can't really go wrong if you want a solid platformer with good music and level design.

I actually think Triple Deluxe is the best one - it's simply built upon the other main Kirby games over time but is the best overall.

I shouldn't be posting here as I've only played a small fragment of just one of the games under discussion, but I'd be surprised if Kirby's Epic Yarn doesn't get a few mentions.

Not that it's in the sale, of course, but it does seem to have some appealing ideas, even if the difficulty may be low.

My favorites are Kirby's Adventure (nostalgia, one of the first games I beat as a child) and Kirby & The Amazing Mirror (Metroid like exploration).

It's its, not it's.

1. Kirby Super Star Ultra (DS) - Honorable mention: Kirby Super Star/Fun Pak for the SNES, the basis of this remake.
2. Kirby Triple Deluxe (3DS)
3. Kirby's Return to Dreamland/Kirby's Adventure Wii (Wii)
4. Kirby & The Amazing Mirror (GBA)
5. Kirby Air Ride (GC)

Definitely Crystal Shards, Epic Yarn is a close second though.

Top 5 would be:
1. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
2. Kirby's Epic Yarn
3. Kirby's Return to Dreamland
4. Kirby's Dream Land
5. Kirby's Dream Land 2

But I haven't played any of the DS and 3DS games.

I like

Kirby's Adventure (Wii)
Kirby's Adventure (NES - Only the 3D Classic Version)
Kirby Super Star (And Ultra)
Kirby's Dream Course
Kirby's Avalanche (I like Puyo Puyo).

(I don't think I will like Triple Deluxe - I have played Fighters and it feels wrong compared to Smash Bros which does it right).

I don't like Epic Yarn or most of the other spin offs (I have most of them though because I like it when series try new things even if I don't end up liking it).

Tilt n Tumble looks great but I am not too hopeful we will get it on the VC.

My favorites are
1. Kirby Mass Attack — Fantastic, inventive gameplay that's very well presented.
2. Kirby's Return to Dream Land — Four-player action, great culmination of all previous main series games while inheriting none of their problems.
3. Kirby's Dream Land 3 — Not actually a very good game but I find it charming.

My favorite was Kirby's Adventure until I couldn't stand the slowdown anymore, so right now I'll say Dreamland 2, which is very similar to Adventure.

Kirby's Adventure is one of my favorite games of all time.

Epic Yarn is fantastic.

Dream Land is great but pretty simple and short. Dream Land 2 has more to it, and is pretty fun, but I don't like it as much.

Super Star is pretty fun.

I either don't really like or haven't played the others. I'm really missing something with Return to Dream Land. Everybody seems to love that game. I thought it was incredibly bland/boring. Though, to be fair, it might be more fun with 4 players.

Kirby's Adventure on the NES is the best, by far!
Personally I wouldn't get the 3d classics version though, those versions annoy me with their obnoxious menus and weird backgrounds...
I don't get people's love for Kirby Super Star, I prefer a more traditional Kirby game, and the cpu assists make everything too easy. Kirby's Dreamland 2 and 3 have annoying animals that I don't like. The original Kirby's Dreamland lacks transformations but is a great game.
This is why I would recommend Kirby's Adventure, it strikes the perfect balance I think
