^For what game? I wouldn't call that a good price for neither GTA V nor Ninjabread Man HD.

Nintendo doesn't have the digital numbers to be lower than retail.

I've seen some obscure programs offer PC games for pretty cheap downloads. I'm sure they can afford to be ever so slightly lower then retail, especially for old games that retail really low now like Pilotwings and Star Fox 64 3D.

You also need to realize that Nintendo's games do not drop in price as often as you want to think. Maybe in the used section yes, but "new" Nintendo games often stay the same price for years. It's kind of like Disney and their movies, and the reason is they are valuable and people want to buy them. Why sell at a lower price when there are willing buyers at the higher price.

As for Pilot Wings in Europe, I dunno about that one (but I can tell you that converting currency has no meaning in prices, though I don't know why users continue to use that argument)

Oh, I know that those don't drop in price (3D Land still goes for $40 even without shipping) but putting Pilotwings at 40 euros is effing ridiculous. Star Fox 64 3D has gone for some really low prices and is now $30 on Amazon (not to mention it's old without the greatest sales compared to others first-party games).

And they need to update prices like XBLA to keep up with the times, because 5 years from now, a copy of NSMB2 is going to be likely around $20

XBLA? I think the eShop download only titles are more appropriate for that comparison

eShop download only titles also never drop prices and have had sales a total of once (over a few weeks) in the US. That's probably a partial reason why the eShop isn't as prolific as Nintendo wants.

And if you mean it should be a handheld, PSN with the prices on PSP and Vita games.

And on the Wii U's shop, developers and publishers are free to set their price this time. So we might see more sales than ever. Dunno about the 3DS eShop though
