Skylanders games
Ratchet & Clank PS3 + PS2 games
Rabbids games on Wii
Mario Tennis Gamecube
Sly Cooper PS3 games (including the trilogy)
And many more...
@CFarris419 I'll definitely pick them up at some point! I've just got so many long games to play already 😅
@Anti-Matter What do you think of Sly Cooper? I'm probably getting a PS3 soon, and I like platformers so I'm interested in that series but I'm not sure how much I'd like the stealth elements.
@Dogorilla
Okay, here is my thought about: Trilogy PS3
Sly Cooper 1 = Crash Bandicoot style even from the camera angle to move your Sly.
Looks very hard for newbie of Sly Cooper games. Don't let enemies touch you since it uses a lot of lives like Mario style. U touch the enemies, u die.
Sly Cooper 2 = Great storyline with some bittersweet ending (watch from Youtube if you want to see the final boss fight scenes until credit roll to see the bittersweet ending i meant about). Every characters are different. Sly can steal things, standing on tiny spots but pretty weak. Murray is the strongest but cannot steal and cannot jump into tiny spots like Sly. Bentley is very weak but he can hack the system, better play him as long range silent assasin.
Sly Cooper 3 = Another great Sly Cooper game but only lack of collecting 30 message bottles to unlock special rewards. There was a mini game from first place mission that could made you ROFL as you play it. 😂
Bentley in here was quite handy as he can boost his speed to run and he can use his gadget to sabotage the foes. Murray in here have a new weird power as he can bounce like rubber ball.
There were some pretty tough mission like dog fight in the sky that you have to be careful with your surrounding.
Sly Cooper 4 (Thieves in Time) was really beautiful, with cell shading style and 60 fps (sometimes drop to 30 fps at very crowded places). You time travel into 5 different era to meet the ancestors of Sly Cooper and you can learn their special ability. Sly in here pretty useful as he can use 5 different abilities from his ancestors. Bentley in here pretty much same as from Sly Cooper 3 but he found a very heartbroken surprise as you play the game. Murray was still same as usual but in Thieves in Time, you can play also as Carmelita and the Sly Cooper ancestors with their unique ability.
There was a very hard mission that made me upset and it was a mission at England from playing shooting the targets by arrow to continue the storyline.
There was also very hilarious moment from the first mission at Japan, see by yourself if you don't want get spoiler. I guarantee it was really hilarious. 😂
The ending was pretty disappointing if you watch the secret ending from Youtube.
And for every Sly Cooper games, the minor thing that i really strong dislike was the smoking villains (use of tobaco) as i really hate to see peoples smoking and puffing the smoke. I have experienced by get tortured with cigarettes smokes I smelled from peoples smoking outside and it made me really hate with cigarettes and smoking habits.
To add more PS3 games, try Ratchet & Clank games and Skylanders games.
@Sunsy Oh lucky you, then. In regards to handhelds, the Game Boy Color was the first one I had. I did have a Game Gear that I got from eBay years ago, but its screen broke. I wouldn't play the Game Gear Sonic games until I unlocked a few of them in Sonic Adventure DX. The ones I unlocked back then were Sonic 1, Sonic Drift, and Sonic Chaos.
Here is my entire list of official games in the past 5 years I've played within a year of release that wasn't free/free to play:
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Smash Bros Ultimate
Astral Chain
Luigi's Mansion 3
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Metroid: Samus Returns
Pokemon Sun
YIIK: A Post-Modern Adventure (yes, of all games lol)
Bug Fables
Also a couple of more obscure indie games that I didn't especially like.
So every other game I've played in the past 5 years (that I paid for), I was in fact, late to the party. That does include games like Project X Zone 2, Kirby Triple Deluxe and Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice. 3DS thread!!!!
@MarioLover92 Yeah, I also had Game Boy and Game Boy Color. Which reminds me, I was late to the Zelda party. First played Link's Awakening DX on Game Boy Color, years after the first Zelda game came out as well as the original Link's Awakening.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Sunsy As was I, lol! I made a whole post about that on the last page. I didn't mention Link's Awakening however - I didn't play that game until it came out on the 3DS Virtual Console. Though the GBC was my first handheld, I knew someone who had a Game Boy Pocket back in the day.
@Sunsy I was late to SMT too! Apocalypse was my first go, didn't think much of it from first glance but it was on a brilliant sale so I grabbed it anyway. Really glad to have been proven so wrong.
The games are just so...meaty. You get so much playtime and challenge out of them. Excellent series that I've still yet to explore further. Only played IV:A, Strange Journey Redux, and Soul Hackers so far.
Hang on to your youthful enthusiasms - you'll be able to use them better when you're older.
