I personally prefer digital, but Nintendo is doing everything wrong with the whole issue of digital, worse than anyone else really since games are locked to a system not an account and if you transfer a game, saves don't go with it nor is there any way to carry over saves. It's so stupid.

The whole prices being the same is dumb enough, but there are far stupider issues.

I've been spoiled by Steam, GOG etc. lol
I'm not saying Mario games should come out for $20, but I mean the same as retail? Come on.
And get moving with an account based system, everyone said it was stupid when the Wii was released and that was how many years ago?

The whole no save files was only with DSi to 3DS, they said wii to WiiU will transfer everything and 3DS to 3DS is also able to transfer everything

Yeah I had though of that too. Not sure if there would be a way to turn the cartridge into a worthless hunk of plastic, but I do like the idea.

Well no it wouldn't be worthless, it would still have the original data, just you can't turn it digital over and over just a one time thing and then that cartridge would only be able to be played though physical means, like you could turn it digital once, then it would make it so it can be used to form digital data agan, but it could still be played in cartridge form so it wouldnt go to waste, if that makes sense?

But Ninty would never do that because then you can just sell the game.

If you could make retail games digital you'd do that give the game to somebody and they'll do that and then they'll give the game to somebody and eventually everyone will have it free

Yeah the prices are expensive but the offer good deals like 100 coins on Club Nintendo for New Mario 2 or free Donkey Kong!

Games I'm playing currently: Legend of Zelda: A Link Betweeen Worlds, Tearaway
Games I'm excited for: Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros. 4, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8

Free Donkey Kong just n USA. Also, the things you can buy with stars in Europe are horribly lame. The only two things i bought there were a Hanafuda cards and a Kirby moneypack. They sell you wallpapers... WALLPAPERS... And limited PDF walktrhoughs. And here we never got any game... well, Little King's Story and some Gamecube games. And the exchange of stars for eShop points is abusive.

So, more stars/coins is not really a great deal to have the same price for a digital than a retail game. Heck, i can gladly go to the used games section of the store and buy it for a not very much less price.

That's why I was thinking of the whole locking the ability to turn it digital after the first time, yes you could turn your digital and then give a friend a physical copy, but they couldn't turn it digital to give to a friend and do it over and over, I mean you can do the same with DVDs
