Topic: So im waiting for a Christmas sale... am i "wasting" my time ?

So, just put 30 dollars on my 3DS wallet, because i was sure theres going to be a 3DS eshop sale (Its christamas for gods sake !!!) but so far nothing... should just give up ? or is there any indication of a sale coming ?

Yes, I would just cave in and spend your credit (I would suggest VVVVVV, Cave Story, and NightSky), since Nintendo's only done one sales promotion on the 3DS eShop so far and have given no indication when or if they plan on doing another one. Sorry.

For the 3DS? Yeah, might as well cave in. I'm impressed we got a Wii U sale. Nintendo usually doesn't like sales, and we already got one this year, back in June.

Retailers are having Christmas sales! I took advantage of that Buy 2 Get 1 free sale at Target and got 3 games for $100

Or get a Wii U and take advantage of those sales

While this isn't a recommendations thread, I say don't get VVVVVV, get the Steam version. Downloadable levels and a level editor for $3 less.

And while I won't be hopeful, I still think it's worth waiting for SOME sort of sale now that the Wii U is getting them. Probably will take months if anything, but if it happens I'm satisfied.

No, @DarkKnight just really, really, really loves Nicalis games. If it wasn't being released this Thursday, Bit.Trip SAGA would be on there too.

In regards to the sale, I wouldn't have your hopes up for one. Nintendo'd be sure to announce one a few days in advance so they won't have a bunch of pissed off consumers going "WTF Man?" just after Christmas.

Alternative suggestions include Mutant Mudds, Mighty Switch Force!, and Pushmo.

My recommendations would be Art of Balance: Touch, Mighty Switch Force and X-Scape (That one's DSiWare). $21

Mine would be Denpa Men ($10), Cave Story ($10), & Liberation Maiden ($8). That would be $28 altogether (maybe over your $30 limit, depending on whether or not you get taxed).

I recommend Cave Story ($10), EscapeVektor ($10) and Pushmo/Crashmo ($7-$9). Art of Balance: Touch, VVVVVV and Denpa Men are also very good (all the Denpa Men can get really repetitive if not played in the right fashion). Still, it'd be nice to know what kind of games you like, so we could know your preferences.

And yeah, I doubt we'll see sales any time soon.
