I don't consider Hyrule Warriors a Zelda game but a Dynasty Warriors game with The Legend of Zelda characters license. And yep a Twilight Princess HD port would have been better than Wind Waker HD port because Wind Waker already looked great while Twilight Princess makes eyes bleed on HD TVs.

There is nothing wrong with these ports/remakes, they are made by external teams in collaboration with Nintendo while Nintendo can make new games.
Dunno about anyone else, but my personal concern with all these remakes isn't that they're wasting time and resources, it's that they could end up burning people out on Zelda. Yes, each game is sort of different from the last, but the format of dungeons, item, master sword, dungeons can wear some people out on the series. See: guitar hero and slow declining sales of call of duty
Guitar Hero is a very different situation. Activision released 7 games in 2009, that's completely different from Nintendo's 2 Zelda games every 2 years.
I admit that the example was a bit extreme, but we had Wind Waker, Link Between Worlds, and Hyrule Warriors last year. And if this rumor is true, we'll have MM3D, TP3D, and Zelda U (I sort of expect a hyrule warriors "Complete edition" sometimes this year). I just think they should cut it back a bit.
No we didn't, Wind Waker HD and A Link Between Worlds was 2013. Also considering Hyrule Warriors as a Zelda game is arguable.
Remakes or ports made sense IMHO in regard to mario 64, ocarina and majora. these were pretty old games when they were brought to ds systems (and pretty good btw!).
I dont actually see the point in porting recent games (or at least last gen games). Donkey Kong Country? - IMHO they should have made a separate 3ds only donkey konk, xenoblade chronicles? same here, a 3ds only xenoblade would be much better IMHO. -
Nintendo 64 are better suited for 3DS remakes. I am playing Banjo-Tooie now and I clearly see how awesome that would look on 3DS with smoother frame rate and 3D effect. I know that's not possible because Microsoft acquired its rights. Other Nintendo 64 would look great as 3DS remakes. Think of Super Mario 64 3D!!!!!!!!!
Wii ports on 3DS doesn't look that great: Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Xenoblade 3D.
GameCube and Wii games deserve the HD treatment: Twilight Princess, Luigi's Mansion, etc.

Can we stop calling these remakes, they are ports plain and simple.
No they're not. The assets were completely REMAKED. There's your clue. A port is when you take a completed product and just adjust the necessary code to get it working on a new system.
Also considering Hyrule Warriors as a Zelda game is arguable.
It's a crossover. Just as Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem is a crossover (though you could debate which franchise dominates over the other), and Itadaki/Fortune/Boom Street is a crossover between the Super Mario Bros. and Dragon Quest franchises. You could also argue that Game & Wario is a crossover between WarioWare and Game & Watch (i.e. a new Game & Watch game with the artistic/aural flair of the WarioWare series). Crossovers are generally non-canonical though, particularly if the franchises being merged have a narrative or lore associated with them. Link's Crossbow Training and the CDi games can also be considered to be non-canonical entries in The Legend of Zelda series.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
Enough with the zelda remakes, We need more resources towards newer games.
facepalm The remakes are done by other studios who don't make games regularly, so no resources is being taken away. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grezzo
And while Wind Waker HD was made by EAD, it was a way for them to get familiar with the Wii U's hardware, so it helps Zelda U's development.
All I remember about TP was that it was an ugly brown game, with some cool wolf parts. Seriously, it was pretty bad, from a graphics standpoint, and I don't usually complain about graphics.
Atari 2600, Commodore 64/128, Sega Genesis, 32X, Sega CD, PC, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Wii, PSP, DSi, PS3, 3DSXL, WiiU
I played this on the GameCube when it first came out, and then a few years later on the Wii. Once was enough...
I'd rather they just focus their efforts on getting the new Zelda game for Wii U finished. I happily played Wind Waker again when they re-released that, but enough is enough. New games, please.
My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."

If you can't dig the art style then go and gush over Xenoblade some more. As much as it amuses me to see unoriginal, unintellectual comments all amounting to 'lul brown sux' because no one can level a reasonable and damming critique at the game. Also, did you even complete the game (and remember it)? 'cause if you did and still think its all just brown and samey you're delusional.
There is so much variation between the areas, forests to fields, fields to mountains, mountains to rivers, rivers to lake Hylia, and from lake Hylia to Snowpeak. And all of the dungeons are so unique and fit into the world. Just because the colors don't look like this (https://rpgsquare.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/xenoblade-chronicles-eryth-sea.jpg) doesn't make it brown and ugly. The muted color palette isn't necessarily for everyone, but calling it ugly is as close to 'wrong' as one can get in a subjective matter.
Meh, didn't play a whole lot of Twilight Princess, and didn't like what I played. The setting was dark, and I'm not a fan of overly dark environments. They just bore me. I hated the wolf segments, I'm honestly not a fan of games suddenly switching you from being a humanoid character to suddenly being an animal, it just always comes off as weird to me. I guess this is nice for the people who want it, but I'll be skipping out on this if it's actually true. I'll stick to Xenoblade 3D in terms of New 3DS exclusives for now.
