I tried breeding for the very first time today, but obviously it didn't go as planned. I tried breeding my Azumarill, which, according to the judge, excels in HP, Defense, and Sp. Attack, and they can't be beat, with a ditto that excels in speed and attack, and are great. I also gave my Azumarill a destiny knot. I got three eggs, and the best Marill that I got had only two of those stats. Did I do something wrong? Or do you just have to keep on trying until you get the five stats you want by chance? Oh, and by the way, I'm trying to breed a Mawhile with good IVs to replace my Gardevoir.

I can give you a 6 IV ditto to make life easier. no cost.. slap a Destiny know on the ditto have the other pokemon hold an everstone (after getting the right nature of course)
Also make sure you have an everstone for the nature to pass.

I dunno... I kind of feel like I'd rather do it without trading. Trading has always kind of felt cheaty to me. I'm not saying I don't think others should trade or that trading is wrong, but I kind of feel like I want to do everything myself. I guess it's because it would just be more satisfying. Thanks for the offer though, and any tips are welcome! I'm also still wondering, did I do anything wrong with my breeding, or do I just have to keep trying until it chooses all the right stats to pass down? Also, what would be the best way to breed my own 6 IV Ditto? I have Dittos with every IV except HP, so how would I mix those all together? (I suppose I would start by using the items that guarantee certain IVs will be passed down, right?)

No problem!

Dittos can't breed with eachother : x the odds of finding a 6IV one is.. well don't bother to say the least.. nobody has an exact estimate but finding 10 shinies in one day is more likely to say the least.

I don't see a problem in the breeding process so far. But I've always used a 6 IV so I can't be 100% certain.

Ohhhhh... Well, I guess that shouldn't make things too much harder.

Edit: Oh wait... I just realized... You can't Breed Dittos?! ARRGH!

When I first read your post, I knew you meant you couldn't breed two DIttos together, but it didn't click that that makes it impossible to get eggs with Dittos in them... So you can only get 6 IV Dittos from the wild? Dang...

I don't post much but let me just say that after getting my shiny 4 IV Sylveon that trying to find non-English players that have 5-6 IV pokes for breeding can be annoying. I got really lucky cause it got all 31 IVs in the stats that actually mattered. If anyone here has a non-English game, I am willing to strike a deal where you get free 6 IV pokemon in exchange for doing some final breeding for me so I can Masuda Method.

I just made the OP an offer for a 6IV ditto. I can make them foreign too.. japanese I'm assuming is foreign to everybody here.

No cost.

Btw the new pokemon x I got is from canada.. not sure if that counts as a foreign since it's still north america.. either way I can make them foreign to any country.

Exactly. I have a few 6 IV dittos (pokegened) I can spare no cost but if you want to restrict the trading to kalos born only mons I respect that.

Sure, I'll take one. My FC should be in the signature. I'll add your FC. I'll still be looking for a foreign buddy just cause I like the same species/different ID speed in the breeding process. But yeah a 6 IV Ditto could help. Yeah it's Pokegen but I am still working in terms of hatching eggs for it so I don't think it's that bad.

hey all i'm kinda new to this but can anyone tell me if that new action replay power saves for the 3ds will work on diamond and black/white 2 ?? or do i need the older model for the older games? and are there any adverse effects from it? will it mess up your X/Y game or anything? thanks for any help.

No powersave only works for 3DS games. You actually plug the game into the device and the device into your computer rather than the 3ds. Powersave is ment to keep backup saves of you game so if you lets say delete everything.. or corrupt somethign.. you can reload it all back to normal with the last save you made with powersave. So even you mess up big time there is recovery for it still.

People often use that for cloning.. they'll save the game on powersave.. then put the pokemon they want to clone into pokebank.. and then reload the save so they appear again in your pc while the originals are in the pokebank still.

Also note that they removed any unreleased content from the powersave (diancie, eternal flower, eonsites, etc)

But if you want it for previous gens you'll need a different older action replay.. and those olds ones have crashed a few of my games and there is no recovery.

Lol your's outspeeds the mega. timid? I know the opponent probably doesn't EV train or breed for the right nature/ivs but still.

Iron Head for that small chance of flinching.

@Stomatopod17 I had Talonflame used Tailwind because Destiny Bond was still in effect. I'll go with Iron Head, like DreamyViridi said.

Both poison jab and iron head are fairy counters. one flinches and the other has a 30% to poison.. poll? :I

I'm thinkg about going with PJ because it also counters grass types while earthquake will still handle rock, fire, and mawile.
