So about 5000 eggs in X and not a single shiny.
I start over Y in the quest for a shiny Scatterbug, and after a few hours of trying I actually get one.
I'm happy and all, but now I'm convinced for sure that my X is cursed.

She's really lameandbadandpoop, IVs are 31/0/31/31/31/XX so not usable at all, but she can have a nice new home in my Bank or something.

100% of the time they'll have the sash, which is a requirement indefinitely.

compound eyes sleep powder hurricanes and access to quiver dance is some to fear..

You can also run powder against choice fire types

Not necessarily.
You can run it with Leftovers and Substitute, but then just gotta make sure to send it out against something slower.
Sash is probably the safest option though, especially if you're planning to lead with it.

I rather like Vivillons. I intend to use one but clearly, I need to think outside the box for strategy because that's what I intended to use her for... Out of interest, how much damage does powder do when it 'explodes'?

Aaaand another shiny Scatterbug.
This one's 31/0/XX/31/31/31, so a bit better than the other one.
Still not perfect, but could easily throw a Sash on it and actually use it at least if I wanted.

lol what pokemon were they talking about? Because you know for most pokemon they say that about it means it's impossible to have those two moves because of breading restrictions in previous gens, so you'd have to hack. Luckily X and Y are the best damn games since G/S so that breading thing has been fixed!

LOL. Carracosta's a monster.
