Ghost types being weak to dark puzzles me because when you think of a "Ghost" you think of an enity living in a dark area such as an abandoned cave thriving in the darkness.. it should be resistant not weak to it's own shadows practicely.
Remember kids! Don't be afraid of the dark.. ghost don't like the darkness!!! according to pokemon logic..

Water resist makes sense. Water rusts metals. Ground beating rock makes sense to me too. Smashing rock or Rock crumbling during an earthquake. Steel some logic as rock, gets crushed under an earthquake. Poison I kinda just accept. Not sure either but it feels right.
That does make sense when you put it that way.
There is still something I don't quite get though. Fighting being weak to Flying. I guess the idea is flying creatures can carry off ground-based enemies by their backs thereby rendering their limbs useless (most Fighting types are humanoid so losing the ability to use arms and legs would be a death sentence).

I need to do some tradebacks for my Electabuzz, my Phantump and my Dusclops to get them evolved ! I would really appreciate if someone could help me. My friend code is in my signature. Just tell me when you'll be able to help and feel free to do some tradebacks on your own .

One thing I always wondered was.. why isn't ice type moves super effective on water types? Ice freeze water so I don't get it.. but then again fairies are immune to dragon so I guess gamefreak's type advantage logic is invalid..
Well think of it this way. What happens when you pun an ice cube into a cup of water? The ice cube melts and the cup gains a little more water.

My and everyone else's logic for that type match-up. "Have YOU ever tried to PUNCH a BIRD as it swooped down at you?!?!".

well my logic for this one's a little more complicated, it take in consideration anything that's flying isn't standing on anything solid for balance, so instead of absorbing all the impact at once a flying object(like a bird) would dissipate the power using the air resistance to deceletare slowly until the energy from the hit fades with the motion.

Argh. I need a Metal Coat for my Scyther, but the only way to get more is to steal one from Magnetons which only have a 5% chance of holding one. I've spent a good amount of time grinding them (spamming Thief of course) but haven't had any luck.

Get a poke with frisk and give it the smoke ball (so you run away if it's a low level)
Then if you find one switch into a theif.

Question: If a Pokemon that can only evolve through trading while holding an item is stopped from evolving, will the item held still be intact and not consumed?

I tried stopping the item trade evolution once, didn't work it evolved the same way and I didn't stop pressing B.

Okay... I think my game glitched. I checked my pokedex for everything I don't have fully registered and it said that I've seen a Sylveon before, but I've never had one, since there's no symbol next to it and it won't show me it's pokedex entry... The thing is, however, I already transferred an Eevee to my X file, played with it in Pokemon-Amie, leveled it up, evolved it into a Sylveon and used it in battle... It still says I don't have Sylveon registered. SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS!!!

... Seriously, though. I'd really like an explanation for this.

I can trade you my Sylveon to see if that will change anything if you'd like.
