Cave Story - Never played the other, but Cave Story was all kinds of fun. I'm confident in my choice here. Cromson Shroud - It's short 'n' sweet, unlike a certain Denpa Men, and it provides some unique and fun gameplay that I've always wanted to happen someday.
A. A port being the top
B. Cave Story winning EVERY DAMN BEST DOWNLOAD AWARD
And I didn't even play Crimson Shroud. But damnit too many Cave Story awards. And I just recently started regretting getting the DSiWare version knowing that PSP got the first portable version (That was meant to be tongue-in-cheek).
1. Crimson Shroud - Both are high quality titles worthy of being number one, but only one can win, and since I prefer RPGs, I'm going for Crimson Shroud!

Tough choice: On one hand you have the pioneer of indie gaming, that is well loved even if it was rereleased over half a dozen times. On the other, you have basically the best rpg on the service yet. In the end, I'd give it to Cave story since it is one of the best run'n gun platformers I've ever played. Add in the charm factor, the ost and the extra modes and it practically seals my vote.
What a tournament! I've always wanted to organize something like this here, and I'm glad everything ran pretty smoothly. Even if your favorite didn't win, I hope everyone had fun
In the end, it's the gamers that really win with such great software, and if you don't own either of the two finalists, what are you waiting for!?!
Thanks to everyone for the participation & support! Also, if he's still planning on hosting it, I look forward to @Rayworld's "portless" tournament, to see how it turns out!
