I just tested it out in light vs dark... It was horribly it almost killed me D: i was going to make a upper dash arm with 6 melee stars, speed+4 and melee-dash attack +2 but this mod ruins it

I know that feel. I thought it was a good thing at first as well, so I made sure I kept it as fused weapons. I ended up with an awesome Ogre Club... with the Self-Injury mod as a fatal flaw. The lesson here is don't try to keep a mod until you know what it does.

Well, at least it lowers the value.

I personally really enjoyed the ambassador title (Sacred Stones, right?) but the permanent death of allies put me off. I did make it to the split path though, and I still have the save file if I ever go back to it. So I'm not sure if Awakening is worth it for me.

I haven't tested it myself, but speaking from what I've heard from other people, the health loss from Self Injury -3 is negligible (it can't kill you in a 5 min match). So you can use it as an OK negative modifier, just not with Full Health Boost

Every true Fire Emblem player resets as soon as a character dies, this is an unquestionable theorem.

@luigi in awakening you can make it so that they don't permanently die, but replaying a chapter repeatedly because a character dies is part of the experience.

Sacred Stones on 3DS was my first Fire Emblem experience but yes, I did reset the first time someone got killed; especially when I found out they don't come back. This speak of the franchise reminded me of a comic I saw based on Awakening. And thanks for editing the number in, @True.
