Nintendo COULD possibly beat the iPod Touch in the Smartphone Race, if they try to get Third-Partys to make non-game apps. Then they could market the 3DS to both Hard Core Gamers all the way to Business People with apps in the eShop like Google Docs Mobile, and Google Body. What are your thoughts on this?

They could if only the 3DS or the iPod touch was a smartphone.

If the non-gaming apps end up being stuff like Flashlight or the clocks and calculators DSiWare is infamous for, then no. As for Google Docs, I can't imagine slowly hunting and pecking with a stylus when most business phones come with physical keyboards. Even the iPod touch has a decent touchscreen keyboard, even though I've heard the auto-correct can be annoying.

For some reason I really want a weather app, and a better one than the Wii has.

If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.

Well considering the 3ds is a gaming device that happens to have other features I doubt this would happen. I mean people might make different app type things for the eshop but it wouldn't be competing with ipod or smart phones. An ipod touch or any other smartphone is a multi-use device that happens to have apps for games. They are not gaming devices. Not saying they can't have good fun games but that's not what they were made for.

DSiWare has lots of non-game apps. The problem is that many of them cost at minimum 2 dollars when they should be free.
I mean for heavens sake, they took away the alarm clock and calendar in the system. Anything on the shop is at least $2 which is just stupid.

Also if the e-shop wants to succeed. Or Nintendo wants to succeed at online they need that five letter word.

DEMOS
I know demos for DSiWar is probably out of the question, but what the eff about 3DSWare?
I know there's only one game so far for 3DSWare (Not counting 3D classics), but since that has no demo, I can only assume Nintendo still doesn't get that they sell.

Well you forgot to mention that demos cost extra and the developers have to make them.

On the other hand, I have heard that on XBLA you are required to have a demo if you want to sell your product there. Don't have a 360, but I think I read that somewhere.

I bet you anything that the developers are more than willing to put in the extra development to make demos, considering how many were pleading Nintendo to let them make demos for WiiWare.
If that was sarcasm I missed it. That wink confused me

Nintendo will beat NOBODY in the smartphone race...that was weird to put them in a category that they don't even want to be in...

Yes, yes it does.

Actually, my understanding of becoming an Ambassador is to wait until the specified times on August 11th (before 11:59pm eastern/8:59pm pacific), so probably not yet.

Check the News section of the eShop. They put a note in there telling you that you're an ambassador.
